22 dOf course. And the only people who don’t believe the guilty verdict don’t know the real facts of the case. I have heard from unreliable sources that Anthony was jumped by these 2 big football players and he was only defending himself. Good story! But not true based on ALL the witnesses involved in this case. Even Anthony said to the police “I didn’t allegedly stab him, I did stab him”. He seemed very proud of the fact. To me… that was a confession.

20 dHe packed a weapon, entered someone else’s designated space, dared them to have a physical altercation, and unpacked his weapon. He didn’t try to leave and he wasn’t being held against his will. In fact, he was repeatedly told to leave the space. I don’t see how self defense is even a suggestion.

Rather than trying to fight it with a self defense argument, he should have tried to plea bargain for say, 5 years in prison. He might have been able to bargain for 10. But hindsight is always 20/20. But yeah the self defense argument was lame.
- 20 d
@ArrowheadSW I agree. That defense was so lame that I have to wonder if his attorneys were actually there to defend their client or if they wanted to see their client go to prison for life.

He got sentenced to 35 years, with the possibility of parole at 18 years. Personally I supported the death penalty

What's sad is, certain elements of the world see this as a miscarriage of justice they only care about the color of his skin. For me, black or white, id feel the same. Thankfully this is in Texas, and if they even hint and rioting it will be put down violently.
- 23 d
God I hope they aren't that stupid
- 23 d
He is already filing appeals.. Smh.
- 23 d
Agreed. There are pics all over the web of him crying. H isn't crying over remorse over taking a life, he is crying because he has to face consequences for his actions. It's disgusting. And his family is just as bad, using all of that legal defense money to buy a luxury home and new Cadillac. Fuck them. I'm not a believer in hell, but if there is one both him and his family are headed there.
- 21 d
say whut? in the right scenario, you'd shoot someone for the same, on a bad day. maybe even a good day. gimmie a break.
- 21 d
it just doesn't sit with how I read what you say continually. people have bad moments, days or even years. When someone says leave me alone... the proper translation of what he said, back off. PHegseth said the same... FOFO. leave them alone or be nice. Bossing someone around physically cause u the big man, forcing someone out of their seat, into the rain because ya don't want them there is "asking for trouble". It can be a big problem sometimes. Justified... maybe not, but it is not right to push him out of a tent into the rain. Unfortunately a lot of evidence I don't have, some may change my view.
What happened to I can defend my life, my liberty, my property? I have rights, it's public space... they cannot be shoving me out.
If he had pulled his knife in advance... or gun, that be another level of problem. he'd be arrested and accused to be the assaulter. If he didn't pull the knife, he'd been pushed out, possibly beaten.
Idiots... yes. Again, I can't fix none of this, it doesn't matter. Just saying this can happen to others with us on either side of it.

They made errors in judgement and it cost 2 lives. what decisions we make when happens to us hopefully better. I have these situations around me as I live with a bunch of triggered humans. I have to think how to handle it is my point.
- 21 d
An error in judgement is a minor thing, and assumes the person didn't know what they were doing. Murder 1 is not an error in judgement, it's a cold calculated choice, and Karmelo knew exactly what he was doing.
Unfortunately, in the black community, killing whitie permiates their culture, their music, hell everything. A lot of black people see killing a white boy as a badge of honor. There is a reason black on white crime vastly out numbers white on black crime. Do some basic research. - 21 d
he would have killed black kid as well if they came at him. I don't buy that particular race angle. he was in "touchy" state of mind... probable.
Lots of people make emotional decisions and regret it. I admit we don't want people living on a hair trigers edge. But that's my point per this poster, and me on some days after doing battle with rusty bolts.
Reverse this situatio with this San antonio guy but instead of him getting knocked out, he pulls knife and stabs. I bet he'd walk... defensible! I'm not saying it's race, I'm saying right to defend your space, right to be there, and responsibility on others to be respectful citizens, not bullies.
www.msn.com/.../ar-AA25fTw7
I mean... all they was doin' was tryin pull his shirt off and get them otu of their space... right? At what point he have right to pull gun and fire all 20 rounds? NYers have a right to remove people from their space, right? BullS#@#t!
KA had a right to be sitting in that spot and not be jacked with.
You go and try to boss around the lady in this post when she's on a bad day, or any woman whom is PMSing, or a depressed kid... that has a weapon... kubitan, knife, mace, gun... and FOFO.
The answer is be nice, talk to people, be reasonable, pray together, etc..
But I could be wrong of course... facts matter as does perception.
Appreciate your view, just sharing mine...

@lightbulb27 "KA had a right to be sitting in that spot and not be jacked with." DUDE no he didn't. HE WAS BANNED FROM SCHOOL. HE WAS UNDER SUSPENSION FOR WEAPONS POSSESSION. That is why he was told to leave repeatedly He was trespassing. So No he had no right to be in that spot as you put it. How many times do i need to repeat what are known facts about this case?
Fact 1, KA Was banned from all school activities in the district, because he was suspended for bringing a knife to school "Texas Penal Code - PENAL § 46.03. Places Weapons Prohibited"
Fact 2, KA was at a school not his own, trespassing Which is illegal "Texas Penal Code - PENAL § 30.05. Criminal Trespass"
Fact 3, He was asked by multiple people to leave, Including Faculty
Fact 3, Austin touched him, he did not push him, He did not hit him, He reached out with his finger and touched him
Fact 4, He had a knife on school property "Texas Penal Code - PENAL § 46.03. Places Weapons Prohibited"
Fact 5, He reached into his bag, Grabbed the knife and stabbed Austin in the heart
You can disagree all you want my dude, But KA was a thug looking for a fight. end of story, end of discussion. - 21 d
good points! Maybe so. It was a terribly bad decision to engage if faculty were there. security should have been engaged if he was a known factor of trouble. if he was not running then what was he doing. rebellious?
- 21 d
He was doing what people raised like him always do. Flouting authority, and believing the rules do not apply to them. Its not that difficult. When I was his age there were kids like him in my school. In the end they always ended up in prison.

21 dThe facts speak for themselves. He stabbed someone and that person died. The self-defense argument fails. Stabbing someone I response to getting pushed is not an equivalent response.

It's a shitty situation. He basically was banned from school grounds, went to a track tent that wasn't his own, started some shit with a football player. Was told to leave repeatedly by faculty and the studentz. Said "touch me and find out". The foot ball player touched him, and Karmelo stabbed him in the chest. Later tried to claim he was a victim. Raised over a million for his defense, spent said million on a new house and cars rather than his defense. Begged for more money, got a public defender, and was found guilty of first degree murder.

21 dI've read AI summaries.
I'm reserving judgement.
It definitely should have never happened.
02 Reply- 21 d
Dude he was found guilty by a jury. And contrary to what some dumb shits would tell you they weren't all white. They were half white and half Mexican/Asian. The reason there were no blacks on the jury is because each one interviewed said they could not be impartial to a black person.
The Ai summaries are biased because of who built the ai's. Hell there is video they played during the trial of him following Austin into the tent, at a school he was not a member of, while he was on suspension from another school because of weapons possession. He was asked repeatedly to leave. The teachers, coaches, and fellow students all testified to this. If you cannot understand the mountains upon mountains of evidence, then you are lost.. - 21 d
Oh and now members of that ahem community are going around threatening members of the jury and threatening death to the metcalfs.
22 dIt was manslaughter at worst. People need to learn to keep their hands to themselves

Please help me understand...
New details from the Karmelo Anthony trial highlight just how rapidly the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf unfolded at the Frisco track meet.
The Metcalf brothers reached the stadium around 9:54 a. m. Austin was pronounced dead by 10:00 a. m. — just six minutes later.
They walked to the bleachers and entered their school’s tent shortly before 9:55 a. m. Anthony followed them inside almost immediately. The group was only under the tent for roughly 4 to 4½ minutes before Austin suffered the fatal wound.
This tight sequence suggests premeditated aggression rather than a spontaneous reaction: Anthony wasn’t casually hanging out in the tent for long — he trailed the brothers in, quickly began provoking a confrontation, and reached into his bag.
From the moment the Metcalfs arrived to Anthony being taken into custody in handcuffs, the entire incident spanned only about 15 to 16 minutes.
How is this not first degree murder?
But you're too stupid to understand that aren't you.. And never mind the fact that he was suspended from school for having a knife on him days earlier, and was not supposed to be there, which is illegal by its self, and he was asked repeatedly to leave.. Because of said suspension.. But you're a moron so all of this is beyond your comprehension.
24 dAfter reading about it, yes for sure!
