I doubt many people ask to judge - I think there's just a level of interest which guys have around girls' sex lives - and whether they're a virgin makes is a pretty fundamental part of that. I think it's fair to say that they might be interested in you at least at some level. I have girl friends who I would never date, but am interested in their sex lives; they're gorgeous after all and it's hard for us guys to completely get that out of our minds!
There's also something in a perceived difference between virgins and non virgins which I think is complete rubbish; some of the virgins who I know are the kinkiest girls and enjoy sexual contact (whether by themselves or with other people) more than girls I know who have a lot of sex.

Hot virgin = longterm relationship/marriage material. Hot non-virgin = pump and dump. Simple math for most guys.
I'd say the same thing is true for guys, but most women just don't think logically like that. Oh well.
mostly immature or young guys ask this. guys would ask me this all the time in high school (most of the time they just really wanted to be the first if your a virgin, but pump & dump you if your not, because @ my high school if word got out that you were f***ing, guys would assume you'd let them too). yes they are judging u. now that I'm in my 20s, nobody asks this question. guys I meet seem to mainly care if you are generally respectable and do not have a reputation.

If they're asking that they're thinking about sex with you, no matter how much you think they're "just friends". Why they're asking depends on the guy, you might as well just ask them.
Because people seem to think your sex life somehow determines your worth.
