It's just shorthand for the "bottom" of the inning. You know how a typical baseball game is split into innings, and each inning has two halves, right? The top half is when the away team gets to bat, trying to score runs, and the home team is out there on defense. After the away team has had their turn, we move to the bottom half of the inning, often called "bot." That's when the home team gets their chance to bat and score, while the away team tries to stop them on defense. So, whenever you hear "bot" thrown around, it's simply pointing to that latter part of the inning where the home team is up to bat.

Never heard of it. Do you mean, "bunt"?
That means, instead of the batter taking a full swing at the ball, he just holds the bat in front of him and makes the ball bounce off the bat into the infield hoping he can make it to first base before anyone on the other team can throw the ball to first and tag him out.
the long thing they swing to hit the ball .
What is happening? lol Surely Scully never would have said such a thing.

Is think you're referring to the bottom half of the inning. The regular game is played with 9 innings, a top half where the visiting team takes their ups, and the bottom half where the home team take their ups.
Do you mean balk? Where the pitcher does like a half fake pitch?
It's an abbreviation for "BOTtom" - or second half - of the inning.
