Is there a real reason behind all of these personal celebrations photos people start posing on social media?

I mean I do acknowledge I have 2 social media accounts but I dont post photos of my personal gatherings or get togethers on it I dont share anything of my personal life on any social media. For exampel today is Christmas and I had seen many of my friends flooding their accoutns with photos of their respective Christmas celebrations (either the celebration may had been a lavish one or a simple one) here and tehre. Is there a reason why?

. I mean many years ago when social media did not even exist I remember people taking photos in their old cameras and the photos developed were never shared unless desired to do so to other people but still the photos remained quiet private and no other person had to know anything if the person celebrated or not Christmas per se. . But now like in each celebration, people floods theiri ssocial media accounts with photos here and tehre to see how they did celebrate Christmas at their houses, or anywhere they celebrated it. Some celebrations when posted seem lavish others looks simple and humbler For example C

My question is do other people really need to mind how YOU celebrate your Christmas or any other type of celebration, , even to share you are on a trip at the farthest city on the planet earth?

In many interviews he had given in the past and the public is really surprised on how he a public figure does not have any social media account in this technology era. He stated several reasons why and why he will never be on any social media.

He quoted: “Privacy is not as guaranteed, is not as respected, cherished or desired as it once was,” He also added:

"No, f**k no. What am I going to tweet about? My sneakers? Or, 'I have 140,000 friends on Facebook.' What does that even mean? I find it to be a waste of time. The Internet is so

caustic; just a place where people get to spew nonsense and bulls***."

I dont like to see bad comments of myself on social media, I might be too sensitive for social media" "With Facebook and Twitter everyone wants to publicize their innermost truths. We are seeing the true dissolution of public and private.""The authentic experience, where is that? Living the moment. That is something that we're losing."
