Do you think technology is making the world dumb?

I seen a video of a hotel using a robot to bring a guest silverware. Now we got robot dogs walking around and we got those new Apple goggles. I’m perfectly fine not keeping up with the worlds latest gadgets. You walk into Walmart seeing 1 or 2 cashiers checking out while majority use self-checkout. If technology and robots doing all the work then won’t this make us look dumb? Instead of us doing it, we have technology working for us.

im not calling nobody dumb at all. All this technology today repeatedly keeps advancing. So what’s gonna be left for us to do if robots are doing everything?

For sure with each technological advancement people use less skills and formerly common skills will slowly become a lost art.

In the end it will just make people stupid and not know how to do the simplest of things and everyone will be dependent on machines.

Taking working on a car it used to be something almost guy knew how to do back in the day but now cars are so filled with tech that you just can't anymore and fewer and fewer people know how to do anything with vehicles anymore.

People don't even know how to change their oil or hook up jumper cables or change a tile, simple stuff that people should know how to do.

No as those are very limited, the vast majority of hotels are the same as they were twenty years ago, with an updated check in system. Self checkouts have been around years, it’s supermarkets cost cutting staff and making shoppers use them.

Technology provide an avenue to acquire more knowledge more rapidly. Those with inherent ability (i. e. high IQ) will make use of it for good. Those found lacking will not. The world's population has always been relatively average. Most people have limited capacity and they learn the basic skills required to survive within the society they exist in. Most are not destine for greatness.

It DOES make us lazy!
I see people using machines to clear snow or leaves. I prefer to just use a shovel or rake, even if I have one of those machines.
