Not if it (she?) doesn't come with the feature listed above. It would be mighty weird to have both a human wife and a robot like that, and I want to have my own Family one day, so I definitely need a wife. If the robot could become my wife, though... At this point it would be kind of tempting, to be honest!
Though in the latter case, I would also expect it (her?) to keep me company in general. Maybe even act as my coding buddy, among other "general conversation" scenarios. If it (she?) is going to substitute a biological woman for me... I need companionship, a bit of support and the capacity to start a Family. If I could get the last one without performing a certain biological (mechanical?) act, I would.

So... If all those features were there... It wouldn't be a "kitchen robot" anymore, more like an "AI woman". I guess this means my answer is actually "no".

15 dNever enjoyed cleaning. And cooking is a skill that helps you be independent in life and save some moolah, but if I never had to cook again and could ask for any meal I want (based on what they can make with what's in the pantry), I don't think I'd miss it. And I could still cook if I really wanted to if I just want the "feeling" of cooking.
AI and robots will eventually just give humans the option of pursuing their passions more intensely and living life without worrying about the chores.
If they become cheaper and more available where I see a definite return on investment in the near future, then yeah... I'd get one.10 Reply
14 dProbably not. I got a roomba one year for Christmas and it wasn’t very good. I spent just as much time cleaning and fixing that thing as I did vacuuming. It died after 2 years anyway.

14 dI have a few. I have a robot that cleans my dishes that's called a dish washer, I have a robot that opens cans, that's called an electric can opener, and I even have a roomba

14 dI’m thinking the robot would be more trouble than simply cooking and cleaning.
I enjoy cooking. And I clean as I cook so that when I’m done, there’s very little left to clean. There’s plenty of down time during cooking do some cleanup and put stuff away. Better than just standing there and watching a pot simmer, LOL.

Lol!! Agreed!!
15 dNot for now at least 🤣🤣🤣 I've seen some of the cooking robots on the market currently and they seem to just make a mess. They also require calibration to cook specific dishes since they have to recall the location of each ingredient haha.
In the future though, a humanoid robot that has a level of intelligence that borders sentience; then yeah why not if I have the money lol.
10 Reply1.9K opinions shared on Technology & Internet topic. Basically "a wife".
Seems white men struggle to find wives these days. The Chinese don't want to release their women, so "robots" it is...
22 Reply- 13 d
Well... The Chinese are working on AI-powered robots with artificial wombs, apparently. So... This "wife" vibe might be pretty much on point, really! Just because it's going to be an AI woman instead of a biological one... only means "clanker" will officially become a "slur", and one heavily overused by man-hating feminists at that!
Seriously? Cooking and cleaning is not that difficult. Humanity is becoming so lazy. Robots will not need Terminators we will exterminate ourselves with obesity, heart attacks and diabetes.

15 dNo I do not think I would ever do that. I have friends now that have those robotic vacuum cleaners and they are a joke when not in an entirely open area.

Judging from the comments some people prefer to cook for themselves 🤷

@eninytxis We need an "-ism" for this behaviour. My proposal is "fleshism"!

I reject AI as it is. I'm working on scraping together my own AI.
