Does anyone else get annoyed at how loud nightclubs can be?

haha! I feel ya. I loved just going and dancing to good house music. I had a really hot female wingman (woman lol) and we would dance like literally till 5AM. I frequented clubs that had the best DJs and loved it.
but yes, it was annoying when you are trying to make conversations and you have to yell at the top of your lungs 🫁. I couldn't club it up like I used to, well that and fucken work the next day.
I would love to find a good club and dance it up for old times sake but I fear I would have to do it on Halloween so I could go with a mask and everyone wouldn't see how old I was. LOL!
Yes, that's one thing I hate about clubs. Although I think five toilets for five hundred drunk people is more annoying. Might as well piss then return to the back of the line.
I've always hated going to clubs. The few times my friends managed to drag me to one. I didn't care that there were women in skimpy outfits. That isn't enough of a positive. To deal with high prices, loud music, waiting for drinks, waiting for the bathroom and dense crowds.
Yeah. I used to go, decades ago, and always thought it was stupid how loud the music was. It could have been half the level, people would be able to talk, and it wouldn't blow your ear drums by the end of the night.
Same thing with concerts. But I guess those are designed to reach to the cheap seats at the farthest end. It makes more sense in a massive stadium; doesn't make sense in a tiny night club. Guess they're trying to drown out the debauchery.
Yesss! I use to love them but now I get soo aggravated especially when people push or shove knocking my drink or step on my shoe. I also get tired. I’m getting old too lol. When I’m on vacation if my friends want to go I’ll go but I have to mentally prepare myself.
Omg... I thought i was the only one. This post has really highlighted just how many people there are that feel this way!
Wow...
Girl no lol I prefer get togethers at my home or friends place! Controlled music, drinks and fun! Don’t need the nonsense of youngins

I hate clubs from my early 20s...
Not only loud, music that most of the times I do not like.
Also:
Sticky carpet, as there are always animals who spill drinks all over.
All those low IQ people, including those, 'cake face' women.
Those wanabee, but never are 'Alpha dudes'...
Obviously prices are just stupid high...
And main idiots with all latest most expensive stuff, that is borrowed, bought with high interest loan or will be retuned next day...
Hahaha my thoughts, to t!
Welcome to the club dear 🤣.
We have grown to dislike the trashy music & people. We like to save money, drinking at home with friends is much cheaper, can hear each other talk and socializing, it's not that bad like we thought! As long we social with the people we want/like 😁🤷♂️ . I would love to be in a bar with friends, i hate to be in da cluuub, with friends 😝
I'm not a fan of having to yell to have a conversation with friends sitting 2 feet away at a club or restaurant.
Try this app to find out how noisy establishments are before you go:

I expect nightclubs to be loud lol. And if I'm going it's because I wanna be in that atmosphere. But it's rare that I do anymore
Yea but suddenly it seems so loud. I dunno since my ear infection a couple of years ago I don't feel good at all.
Ahh that's no fun
That is the reason I always have ear plugs, in clubs, movie theaters, or concerts. Everything is way too loud and I want to keep my hearing for when I'm older.
Even with ear plugs, some things are a little too loud but more manageable.
omg I always have/wear ear plugs too! I started carrying them when I was working with chainsaws a lot and always had them in my pocket. It's so crazy to me that people go to clubs and when you're talking to someone they are literally (I mean literally literally, this is what they are actually doing) yelling directly into your ear from 2 inches away so you can hear what they are saying.
I find with ear plugs it's actually easier to hear what people are saying, it muffles out the lower frequencies or something.
@zeitgeist057 Exactly, I've worked in clubs so I used the kind that you squish up, stick in and they expand... less noticeable. Same thing though with movies, I forgot them one time in a theater and it was so loud I was shoving pieces of napkins there to use as plugs to make it better.
Ditto with the work, I used to be a bartender. I've done the exact same thing with the napkins; getting them a bit wet helps as well. I still remember this Vin Diesel movie he was skating on a serving tray and they had the sound up so loud. I can't remember if I even stayed I feel like I either left the movie or watched the whole thing with my fingers or napkins in my ears.
My friends like going and I try to like it but fail. Time doesn't pass. I only like certain music so anything else is just a mood killer. I hate the smoke it's suffocating and people are so close to each other... yikes.
I like going for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. Then I'm kind of over it. Smoke is also terrible; thankfully I live in a smoke free city and indoor smoking is banned across the entire state.
@zeitgeist057 exactly and on top of that I only drink a glass which is definitely not worth the price I payed for going. But I love my friends so I go with them.
haha if you want a drink you can also just take some in a water bottle and have a shot before you go in, then buy nothing. Depending on how it is where you are, I saw Cyprus? Here in USA you can go in for free often, but in Brazil they have a system where you have to pay in advance and get some food or drink for your payment once you are inside. (have to buy a minimum). Depends on the country and also the club, USA also has other clubs where you have to pay to get in but the funny thing is they are more or less the same thing as the free clubs. They just use the money to have some more lights or fog machines, and more expensive drinks.
@zeitgeist057 I usually pay 10 euros for entrance and another 15 just to share a bottle of vodka with cranberry and orange juice. It feels like a rip-off.
I don't go to clubs. But, I'm at a point where I don't like going to fundraisers and things like that anymore because they all have live music. You can't talk with anyone there. So if that counts, yeah, I agree with you.
Yeah I used to fall asleep in front of the speakers at clubs. Now I have to wear earplugs, or else keep way to the sides where the sound isn't so intense.
I used to dance by them just so the bass would lead my body.
Can't anymore. Blast my head off!
I've never been to a nightclub and there are no nightclubs in the are where I live. Never been a fan of them because they're so crowded and full of drunk and drugged people.
No because they're meant to be loud, that said I haven't been to clubs in over 3 years since last time I went I felt like I was a mum stalking her kids.
I don’t care about the noise and the music, I like the atmosphere actually, but I hate all the drunk people that get all up in your space lol.. I hate nightclubs for that reason.
While I liked night clubs I always thought they were unnecessarily loud.
My friends didn't agree with me though, they liked it.
I never liked nightclubs because I'm a homebody, but I guess people who like loud lively places will like them
Yes I hate it. If I can't have a conversation with the person that I'm with then I'm not interested in going there.
Yeah, I haven't been clubbing in years. I was never super big on it and I lost interest entirely after 24.
Clubbing has always been terrible. I feel like it's always just been gaslighting that gets people to pretend it's even bearable.
I also hate concerts and any loud music. Always have.
Yeah, How am I supposed to chat to ladies if it's so loud?
Or maybe I'm supposed to seduce with body gyrations and dancing? Not sure how it's supposed to all work...
What I think is worse are concerts nowadays. They start at level 8-9/10 right off when they used to start at level 5/10 and work their way up the dial.
Definitely too noisy. I do not enjoy places like this. Prefers places in nature or much quieter. The truth is that there is nothing interesting there, not even girls😂
I hate clubs the exact kind of place I don’t wanna be in.
if its too loud i use some ear plugs or if i don't have them with me make some from a Kleenex. thats a good trick my brother taught me
I just drink until it stops annoying me, along with the crowds, and drink prices, and everything else. 12 drinks in and I'm good.
never be nightclub at all. i dislike anything that is loud. i got very sentives ears.
protect your hearing like me and @aerissa_jade: carry earplugs :)
Technically, everyone should; things being that loud will damage your hearing.
Yeah, I really don't see any appeal to it. Besides I hate music at 100 decibels and nobody can be heard. It's the worst. I'll bring some earplugs when I expect loud music.
Yeah, I found the club thing amusing for like a year but it was never my speed
I used to also always hate the smoke-filled air, and the songs that were usually being played (when there were live bands)
Sometimes. If it’s above 85dB use ear plugs.
#earplugcrew :) so smart. I don't have a decibel meter, but I'll put them in if you can hear the noise from outside, and almost always if there are more than 20 people there.
@zeitgeist057 Install one on your phone.
lol actually now that you mention it I did have an app but not sure if I still do. If so, either way I never use it I just wear earplugs but thank you good suggestion.
@zeitgeist057 Mostly I don't because the shows we attend are rarely so loud that they can damage hearing. I always check the dB meter on my phone. We try to remember earplugs when we go to a club for the first time.
Aww you two 😊. A little brotherhood going on. This is so nice to see. 👍🏾
Always was too loud to talk to anyone so I never knew what the point was
Nightclubs are the worst too many people, too loud, everything
Never been to any club. No appeal in them.
I guess i was born old
It depends for me i have noise sensory issues so i would not go there
Really get annoyed. But good there's no night club here. And you are not old. You are still 30 😑
Never been to one, I might if I can afford to buy one or at least a stake in one
No, but I get what your saying.
I've had my fill. I don't even drink anymore
That's good!
Congratulations with being officially old!
Thanks PeterSmith1983!
No problem!
depends if im off to dance or out on the pull
It doesn't matter as I never go to nightclubs.
Keep that weak ass shit at home, Lily! These young thots will eat you alive
Yes, I hate it when I cannot hear myself think.
That is one reason I don't do nightclubs LMAO
I don't like nightclubs so I wouldn't know
Clubbing was always boring to me, but y'know fomo
Yeah they are not really a place for me
I only drive by them, so no,
YES!
30 mot old but in the pic she is
Only losers go to nightclubs
Not entirely sure I agree with that... But it's definitely not for everyone as evident in this post!
I would when i think it's too loud!
Yeah I get it lol
