What is the largest city in your country and, if any, your state? The biggest city of my country is Istanbul. It's a very beautiful city. But they have a lot of problems because it is so crowded. All the tourists love it there. It's impossible not to like it.

The biggest city here in Wales is Cardiff with a population of 488,000. The smallest city here is St David's with around 1600 people.

Cardiff is also the newest capital City in Europe (the capital moved around a lot before 1955) but has been populated since pre Roman times. It's a port and was once known worldwide as Tiger Bay because it was a rough area full of drunken seamen from all over the world many of who stayed to become drunken locals. Nowadays it's known for its glass roof shopping arcades and having the 3rd look largest roofed sports stadium in the world.

Don't say "all", because I talked to one yesterday to hated it. I've talked to Turks who hated it and have seen stuff online from others who hated it. So to say that "ALL" the tourists love is a false statement.

I understood properly now. I have never seen a tourist saying bad things about Istanbul. they probably had problems such as paying too much money, encountering rude people.

That's pretty much it. And Turks from other parts of the country said it's dirty and there's more crime then elsewhere in the country.

I went to Antalya for 2 weeks and I also have some disdain towards Turkish people, because you guys always overcharge foreigners. That's not cool. You guys should be ashamed!

yes, Istanbul is a city with problems. It's a beautiful city, not counting the problems with people. It is very immoral for Turks to take more money from foreigners. I am not a person like that.

If Turkey is counted among the European countries, Istanbul would be the largest city in Europe with a population of 16 million. Again, if Russia is counted among the European countries, the largest city in terms of population would be Moscow. London is in third place. But if Türkiye and Russia are not counted among the European countries, London will be in the first place.

Yeah, I'm fairly certain Istanbul and Moscow are both bigger than London. Moscow used to be the biggest, but I guess Istanbul surpassed it a few years ago. But I'm wondering if they're counting ALL of Istanbul, or just the European section.

@KostasKouvalis All Istanbul counts. After all, even the area of the European side of Istanbul (3 thousand-odd km²) is larger than the whole of Moscow. Together with the Anatolian side, Istanbul has an area of 5 thousand-odd km².
