Do A LOT of research before doing this. Countries can be a SERIOUS pain in the ass about allowing a pet into a country. I am sure the requirements are listed, or you could contact the embassy of the country you are visiting. ALSO, make sure you know what the requirements are for bringing your cat BACK to the U. S. are. Good luck.

Have you checked the requirements for importing a cat into Europe? It's not as simple as just putting it on a plane, picking it up, and carrying it through customs.
Your cat will most probably have to spend 6 months in quarantine. In case it is a carrier of some illness. Leave it with your family.
