I’m going to Europe for grad school and I’m having difficulty deciding if I should try to bring my cat with me or if she’d been better off with my parents until I get back. I’d be gone for at least a year and the flight is 11 hours. I’d miss her terribly for a year (especially as she helps with my anxiety and depression) but I also worry about potentially losing her while traveling or stressing her out during the flight and about her being left alone all day while I’m in class (my parents have other animals that she knows and plays with). I had been thinking that if I don’t take my cat with me to Europe I’m coming back with one but that poses similar issues for the the return trip.
