I have encountered -55C... thats -67F. Metal was so cold it would literally sizzle when brought inside. Frostbite on exposed skin in seconds. And no that was static temperature. It was even colder with the wind chill.

Around -30C. This doesn't happen often but sometimes when cold continental air masses come from Russia it's that cold here. This happens rarely, maybe a week all 5 years but it's enough to kill all plants which are accustomed with milder south and west European climate.

I used to go cross country skiing often. I think the coldest temps that I was in were probably around 12 degrees F. (This was in California. That would be warm for some states and Canada!) I used to have a mustache and I remember my mustache being frozen. LOL

-34 fahrenheit, but i was only outside for minutes at a time. I was fairly young and had a sh*tty car. So i easily could have been stuck out in it. Fortunately i grew up in a brutal winter region. I always had extra clothes and blankets in my vehicle in the event of an accident. I was maybe lucky to have never needed those backups.

i wouldn't consider being in a heated house surviving. maybe freezing in an igloo or makeshift shelter would be closer? where you have to fight for water and food, nature, predators and the elements to live daily.
