I'm sorry but I have a hard time believing this is the worst massacre in American history. Certainly bad but it can't be the worst.
9/11?
@noneoftheabove 9/11 wouldn't really be considered a massacre. I was thinking something along the lines of the Tulsa race riots.
Actually I believe Wounded Knee was worse than the race riots.
This actually falls under "America’s worst mass shootings".
thats fair enough at opinion owner. and a 103 people shot at is an unbelievable amount of people to be shot at by one person in such a short space of time
@SilenRose modern mass shootings yes, with emphasis on modern.
Valid point
It is. Check the link I posted.
We already just discussed this. It isn't.
"mass shooting"' 9/11 and the Pearl Harbor bombing are not shootings.
www.nbcnews.com/.../florida-nightclub-massacre-deadliest-mass-shooting-u-s-history-n590476
LEARN TO READ, holy crap.
I'm just trying to help, no need to get angry. đŸ˜’
I already said that 9/11 wasn't a massacre and nobody ever even brought up Pearl Harbor.
@tyber1 it's the worst shooting massacre in US history. 9/11 was the largest attack on American soil, but It didn't involve guns.
@Mongo112323 I have to agree with tyber1 on it being the greatest "modern" day shooting. This article from PBS list the causalities from mass gun shootings reaching back to 1966. However, the Wounded Knee Massacre occurred in 1890. If the records are correct 300 Lakota people and soldiers died that day.
PBS Article: www.pbs.org/.../
@Mongo112323 it's a shame that you people have no knowledge of history more than 50 years ago. Clueless.
@Mongo112323 also, what the HELL did I JUST say about 9/11? It's like you people have the reading comprehension of a 6 year old.
You want to cry about it some more? Damn dude quit being a little bitch
@Mongo112323 Damn dude take 10 seconds to fucking read before you start spewing nonsense on my post.
You've obviously never heard of Wounded Knee.
Or do those people not count because they were just American Indians, massacred by the US govt?
Just because I haven't heard of it doesn't mean I don't care.
Google it.
Here's a brief synopsis:
US soldiers opened fire on a crowd of American Indians they were 'escorting', firing indiscriminately. They killed almost 300 Lakota Indians, including 18 children. They also managed to kill about 30 of their own soldiers.
And that's just one example. I'm not trying to bust your chops, by the way, I just get sick of all the misinformation that gets spread around the web.
You're too young to remember, but there was also the US. gov massacre of the Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas. What a fucking mess that was. At least with Wounded Knee, the facts are fairly straightforward, because it happened before. gov became experts at covering stuff up, cooking up lies, and making witnesses disappear. There are probably almost as many conspiracy theories about that incident as there are about the 9/11 attacks, which is unfortunate because whackadoodle conspiracy theories get in the way of any possibility of truth and justice.
Wow that's horrible.
Yes. Yes it is.
I hope the killer gets a miserable eternity in hell..
Not surprised. Another prick islamic dude hell bent on hurting others because the religion is against homosexuals. I know plently of normal muslim dudes that talk so much shit about homosexuals.
Americans have done worse... MUCH worse to many different parts of the world
LOL the country WAS BUILT on the skeletons of dead natives... rip to those who died, but seriously... give me a break
america is the reason behind A LOT of wars
Yeah
Actually, it is not. Oklahoma City and 9/11 both had more people dead.
Those were mass killings yes, but this was a mass shooting, and in terms of mass shooting this is the biggest. đŸ˜‘
See, one can couch an event any way they like to make it "the most".
"Billy Bob Ballplayer holds the world record for the most home runs while wearing an orange jumpsuit on a Thursday after dark while raining."
It is inappropriate to compare this terrorist attack to random mass murder. This is not random. It is appropriate to compare this to other terrorist attacks. It hast the highest death count by terrorist firearm attack, but doesn't come close to bombings and knife attacks.
what about 9/11/01? But rip and my prayers to the families
The National Undertakers Association thanks the National Rifle Association.
And who would be at fault if he used a bomb?
Why don't you put the blame where it really lies. The shooter and the ISIS terrorists who he pledged to. That wouldn't fit your agenda, though.
I don't see terrorists attacking NRA meetings... oh wait, because everyone is armed. The NRA merely wants to extend that same privilege to all law abiding citizens. The true culprit is a violent and barbaric ideology incompatible with Western ideals, one that no liberal atheist with the sole exception of Christopher Hitchens has had the courage to openly condemn.
@zagor Who is lobbying to get every American his explosives uncontrolled? Nobody, I think.
It is not difficult to make a bomb - or a gun, for that matter.
@zagor I know it. Every year adolescents lose hands and/or eyes trying to make explosives.
A radical extremist uses an illegally purchased weapon in a gun free zone and this is your reply?
The NBRA (National Bomb Rights Association) had a thwarted attempt in LA shortly after this incident.
@becca123 As far as I know , both guns used by the Orlando criminal were LEGALLY purchased.
Well no matter what one thinks of this, Trump is going to benefit greatly from this in the polls. This U. S. election cycle is going to be quite bloody

I know right?
"Killing innocent people is never justified, and should never be okay."
It is totally justifiable and encouraged in one of the world's largest religions. Won't name any names but it's been the cause of numerous wars and death the past half century.
Just my opinion. đŸ˜›
Fuckin Muslims.😡
There's no god, now grow up and be decent human beings before you poke the giant too hard. It'll be another unfortunate war that could've been avoided if you'd just fuck off with your delusions.
I agree that there is no god, but you blaming all Muslims is incorrect and the unfortunate mind set that causes much unnecessary hate and violence. Muslims are, in general, good people. People of most religions are good. It's the extremists, the scum that use their religions' name to corrupt and cause damage, that are bad. Extremists do not represent their religion. I know about this case in Muslims, as well as Christians, from personal experience.
@code3 There is a fundamental problem with Islam and the culture. It is completely incompatible with the west no matter how westernised a Muslim is. It's usually been the 2nd/3rd generation western Muslims that have become extremists. Almost all the terrorist attacks in the world are done by Muslim extremists. in 11 Muslim countries, being gay is punishable by death. You are first and foremost a Muslim before anything else no matter the liberals would have you believe.
ANOTHER false flag.
The same bullshit anomalies as the other false flags.
www.wakingtimes.com/.../
What are you talking about
It's a false flag. A false flag is a covert operation that are designed to deceive in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by entities, groups, or nations other than those who actually planned and executed them.
The US government has produced many and have admitted to many.
This is a false event just like the 9/11, boston bombing and sandy hook. Orchestrated by the US gov.
NO... it is not a "conspiracy" that is a shaming tactic used to silence question asking.
Look up the anomalies and it's not hard to see the truth.
One example for this situation...
www.reddit.com/.../
What about 9/11?
Both are awful as for this incident I wish they would get rid of these gun laws
It's in terms of mass shootings. đŸ˜›
I think the massacre if the indian population was a lot worst
That was a Masscre. This is a mass shooting. In terms of mass shootings this was one of the worst.
Indians were shooting too
i think pearl harbor was a little bit worse though.
Not really the same thing though, Are they?
This is a Massacre, That was a declaration of international war.
@Riggers i think that muslims all over the world have declared jihad nummerous times on the US now.
Ya it really sucks that it had to be this many
I heard it took swat 3 hours to reach.
It must have been a loooong drive.
@jacquesvol Police don't care about gays
Isn't every massacre in the US the next worst one?
50 people died…
"Bigger is better?"
@bcromartie true!
Actually by numbers this wasn't even the worst. (Though always funny how the media tries to portray it as that). Now maybe largest single shooter spree, but not the largest "massacre".
Mountain Meadows Massacre - 100-140 dead Year 1857
Colfax Massacre - ~150 dead (mostly black), Year 1873
@Minerate agree, there have been worse
Worst in American history? 9/11?
In terms of mass shootings yes.
Really? Ever heard of wounded knee?
But the take says worst massacre not worst mass shooting.
That's basically what it was because so many people died.
My point was that the orlando shooting was not the worst massacre in American history. This would probably be a battle in any war. Or failing that, 911.
Oh Lord
