More knife murders black on black in london again this week not the police to blame its all to do with drugs and money not enough police to cover the whole of london when will it stop?
Bane guns, people will use knives. Ban knives, people will use bats. At this rate we'll be down to banning pencils before people admit what the problem is.
then the death toll rises from 61 stab deaths a year to 6500 deaths from guns... given that UK has 65 mil and USA has 300 mil with 30,000 gun deaths per year about. Adjusted for population thats 6500 guns deaths due to firearms in the UK vs the mere 61 deaths due to knives...
@Benedek38 The UK doesn't have 12% former black slaves to drive up the numbers. And I said "Law abiding" people should be allowed to carry guns, not criminals.
I know that. No need to be racist, but I know that black crime controbutes a lot. I am on your side. I was only correcting the 30000 murder statistics, because that includes suicides. I am pro gun.
@TripleAce "how it would of developed without guns" The US wouldn't be a country without guns.
Half the violence and more than half of the property crimes in the US is from 12% of the population.
The question perhaps should be how the US would have developed if a black man, Anthony Johnson, had not enslaved another black man to become the first slave owner in the colonies.
yeah-like if there were one gun for every man, woman, child, infant-like in the US-then everyone would be safe like the NRA has promised. We are told after all by the NRA that more guns=more safety.
Tell that to all of the families of the recently gun slaughtered victims.
Do you mean gun restricted areas like Las Vegas? or Florida? or Texas? Really? Where were the gun blazing good guys in those open carry states? When were the cowboys going to come to protect the victims when the shooting started? What about Ft. Hood? Didn't the troops have guns? My gosh, that's such an empty argument anymore, It's hard to believe that anybody other than the NRA relies on it.
@juliaanita And what about school shootings? Those can be solved easily. Either arm qualified teachers, or put more cops in schools. Remember that school shooter in Maryland? You know how he was stopped? By a gun. The P. E. teacher at that school saved dozens of lives because he was armed and prepared to defend both himself and his students. But you never hear about that because it doesn't push the agenda to ban guns like the stories where dozens of minors die.
you reported 98% which fallacious at best and at worst a lie. And what is this "what about" argument you use? People still died. kids died. church goers died. innocent concert goers died. Soldiers died, men, women, children, mothers, fathers, babies. All dead. The most salient word is dead. But the next most important word is guns. The common element in all of the mass shootings is... gun. Listen, i don't want to ban guns. My dad and my cousins hunt.
But don't make the patently false argument that more guns=more safety. The history of firearms in American proves this false beyond doubt.
And every other civilized country in the world shake their collective heads in disbelief when it is made. It's embarrassing to an American when she lives in another country. And it's tragic when she visits here.
@juliaanita "Do you mean gun restricted areas like Las Vegas? or Florida? or Texas?" No one at the concert in Las Vegas was allowed to have guns, and the security staff did not have the kind of guns needed for that kind of attack. Only one good guy at Parkland High school, Florida was allowed to have a gun, but he refused to engage. No one inside the church in Sutherland Springs, Texas had a gun, but a nearby resident did, and he caused the killer to run off. When Moslem terrorists attempted to massacre people attending an art show in Garland, Texas in 2015, two or three armed good guys shot and killed the terrorists when they began their attack, resulting in no innocent death. Just in the last couple of days in Dallas, Texas a criminal tried to steal a car from a woman and kidnap her children. She pulled out her gun and shot the kidnapper, ending his crime.
"open carry states?" You must not know what "open carry" means. California was an open carry state until recently.
@juliaanita "What about Ft. Hood? Didn't the troops have guns?" No, they did not. Absurdly, service personnel were not allowed to have guns with them on base unless they were Military Police (MPs), which no one at the facility targeted was.
@juliaanita "Tell that to all of the families of the recently gun slaughtered victims. " I had a friend who was murdered because a good man did not own a gun.
A criminal had threatened the man and said he was going to kill him. Good to his word, he went to his home, banged on the door shouting he was going to kill him, broke through, then did what he said. The man had the tactical advantage to shoot at the criminal as he came through the door, but because he did not own a gun, he tried to defend himself with a cell phone. It didn't work and he was murdered.
Then the criminal shot and killed my friend who had no connection to either the good man or the criminal. Ironically, the friend had a gun available, but no warning or even a hint of the imminent threat.
If more good people had guns and the willingness to defend themselves, there would be fewer innocent deaths.

It's going to have to be chainmail and leather studded gauntlets for everyone.
End thug culture. Knives are just a tool.
Yeah I agree

I agree 100%! Thank you for understanding me :) can you pm me?
Yes baby
@Wowgirl10q 😊
I'll rather get shot dead by a gun than someone repeatedly stabbing my flesh to death.
Having a gun is extremly important, but fools won't listen.
I like you
@Wowgirl10q: Awww. Thanks. Much love to you. ❤
Simple: Allow law abiding people to carry guns.

no thanks lol
@TripleAce actually more like 2000.

Its unbelievable how stupid and clueless people are. Its like they desire not to protect themselves from horrible people.
It wouldn't attract nut jobs if they didn't think they can come in and play with lethal toys...
think about that for a second
not think today only... think of how the country has become over the years because of it... and how it would of developed without guns
probably a much better place... less violent people wanting to move there
@TripleAce

Amazing! It needs to end! #EndKnifeCrime
I agree!
#1 Gotta love those stats from the good ol BBC! #2 More importantly @taleswapper
Boy, if only people had guns to defend themselves.

@juliaanita 98% of mass shootings in the U. S. occur in gun restricted areas. The only way to stop a maniac is to shoot back.

You do realise hashtags dont magically stop these things?
And how exactly will a hashtag stop stabbings?
Totally agree with you!
Gun control really worked out for the UK didn’t it?
If guns were legal it’d be worse and why anonymous?

I like you too
@Wowgirl10q thanks

What's the reasons of increasing this crime?
The deterioration of mental health in society, as always.
may be some root cause that can be cured like poverty
No guns no knives my lord
