Just saw a video about this and it is totally appalling. This boy races up to his teacher and beats her down because she apparently took his Nintendo switch. I guess he'll try to blame it on his ADHD? Seriously disturbing to see. Thoughts?
I didn't watch the video do you have posted, but the headline is enough for me. There's no reason for that child to have a Nintendo switch at school, and there is no reason for anyone to react that way. I will tell you what would happen in our household should any of our children behave in that manner. I preface this with the fact that I enjoy some video game playing, and we have three children who also enjoy playing. The odd man out is my husband. It is likely that he would straight jacket whatever child did that, and they would be forced to watch him take a baseball bat to every electronic that they owned. And I probably would not try to stop him.

That seem abslotly crazy
And the amount of time before he got stopped, and just walk away after
That seem completely not norwmal
At least the police get there in goid time even if most act really slow
Had to watch it twise, it just seem unbelivable like that
Just WTF
Being a teacher there days is an unsafe working environment, schools need to do more to protect them. I bet this thug has been given multiple chances. Maybe he cam complete his education in jail.
You notice how slow and low key other teachers were to help as though they were worried that if they interceded they would be tried for a hate crime, fired, the focal point of a black lives matter protest or the victim of a drive by.
Honest question and I hope for an honest answer,
why do people in the US take a lot of time to react in such situations?
where I live (and most places) people take a action fast but from what I sew from US news even SWAT teams take a lot of time to take action!

It's an every day reality. I taught 1st grade - and I have had kids call me b*tch, I had a kid tell me to suck his d*ck, oh, I could go on. I teach kindergarten now and, while this year they're sweet kids, in past years I've had kinder kids say, "f*ck you' and then the room down the hall from me had kinder kids literally throwing their chairs and ripping stuff off the walls. As a teacher, we call for support - but nobody comes. Admin barely comes out of their offices. One kid last year tackled another kid and proceeded to try and choke him. Behavior is out of control. At our middle school there was recently a fight where one kid repeatedly head stomped another kid. The police were called and the one kid is still in the hospital. It is a very scary and extremely sad state of affairs. 😥
I am 72 years old and have ADHD and I have never displayed uncontrollable violence like that But then again my father and brother have Asperger's. They never to my knowledge ever displayed violent outburst like that. My father delivered spankings only after cooling down. When I got married, he warned me that my hand should never deliver punishments in the heat of the moment. It could be lethal if rage was involved. If Autistic children are not taught that there are consequences for their actions, you are doing them a disservice. " I got ADHD" will hold no sway with a judge when you are facing a murder conviction. We learn the hard way with ADHD but we do learn. From the appearance of the video, he had never felt the pain of the type of beating he was inflicting. I hope he learns before he is out on his own. Once he is considered an Adult the law will take the same action with him as they do with anyone they witness in an assault.
I guess the kid literally needs severe punishment/ legal action. His parents also need immediate counselling because it clearly seems the kid is unattended to. The teachers are doing so much to keep our kids educated and safe and in return they are receiving life threatening results. Shame on the kid and his parents. I know what I said is harsh but I said what I said.
I’m mad that he didn’t go straight to jail in handcuffs. It’s weird tho. Because if it was another student that’s what would happen. And they wonder why good teachers are hard to keep.
I have a feeling that boy will be very familiar with the floridian justice system in his life lol
I know it's "wrong" nowadays to discipline your children, but that kid should have been disciplined a long time ago. Why is he bringing a switch to school anyway?
Disgusting that the “men” in that video didn’t come to her aid.
Kids learn what they live, so obviously this kid is growing up in a home full of violence and zero discipline. Do we blame the child; or the parents whom allow this behavior from their child? Either way, it's wrong on all levels.
Impulse control should be taught in all schools lol that’s what they get for not teaching much critical thinking skills, not saying she deserved it but….
Disgusting. The kid deserves to be locked up for a very long time.
