I'm in Ohio and we've been getting a lot of the smoggy stuff coming down from Canada. It's been scorching hot here, and the weather has been jumping around. 80 degrees one day, 60 the next. Stuff like that. The sun's carbon levels get higher each year and it messes with the temperature. A lot of the ocean life is dying off because of this effect, and it's pretty much the same effect with the trees.
The fog here is crazy though! I'm not too far from the great lakes either though.
Other than the moon being orange for the past 5 or 6 nights and it being cold enough to put the furnace back on in early June (yeah, right! Global warming!!), I haven't dealt with any of it and that map says I SHOULD be getting quite a lot of it!
Fuck yes, I'm near the border of Ontario and manitoba... and none of that shit was even to think about. Today is the first day of a thin layer that doesn't even block sunlight enough to prevent tanning, I wouldn't even suspect that there's any wildfire this year if people didn't talk about it. But lots of Americans post scary shit.
It makes me go back to the conspiracy theories and read these type of articles: https://bartoll.se/2023/06/smoke-in-nyc/
@RoosterBreast I don't have t. v. or a newspaper so, I never heard about it `til 2 days ago from someone here.
See, same, why the hell nobody talked about it when it was supposed to start a week ago. Why is it worse in NYC than in Canada itself?
Clearly some sort of loominati conspiracy shit l. For real.
@RoosterBreast Got me!
Here, it makes no sense.
The air has more smoke in NYC than in the wildfire itself lol.
@RoosterBreast Strange!! According to this map, it looks a bit less than good here but, it's a bright, sunny day, now!! The only reason it was not bright & sunny the past day & a half was before it was raining or, close to it.
NYC is just toxic to begin with, the wildfire is just an excuse.
@Sixgunsound Look at the bright side! Maybe all the smoke will kill all the assholes running loose up there!!
@RoosterBreast I blame the fiery biscuits. It all started when Boobslayer decided he wanted to take his love of breasts and display them on an even bigger scale. He set up a large canvas in the forest and began painting glorious tributes to melons, honkers, boobies, tits, milkers, chesticles, honkers, bazoombas, coconuts, cantaloupes, boom booms, noogies, and jugs. Unfortunately, his brush strokes were so powerful that and the fiery biscuits were so lifelike they ignited the surrounding trees, starting a massive blaze that spread quickly through the forest. Hopefully firefighters can put their big hose in there before it causes any more damage to the area.
@BoobSlayer If they need any help, I've got a big hose they can "put in there"!
Yeah but, blood moons are only supposed last one night, or even a few hours.
I'm not in Canada or in the United States (and now Norway) but I know that this is terrible. It happened something similar in 2017 where I live. I remember that I almost faint when I went out and I could barely breathe.
I felt and taste the smoke.

I live inbetween niagara falls and toronto. Hamilton.. Canada has a lot of wild fires burning. The province Nunavut has 2-3 burning. That province is as north as alaska. The winds are blowing north to south rn. So yea our air quality is bad. Give it a month when all your northern states start having wildfires. Like california washington st and all across and the winds blow south to north. Then we will say the same to you
You will xx
Yea i was replying fast. And i didn't no it said im in usa
Some smoke from the fires in Canada has drifted all the way down to the Southeast US. I was in a plane landing in Atlanta on 8-Jun-2023 and the sky was slightly hazy from the smoke.
No but we'll inevitably have our own fires soon. We don't need to import any.
Arizona
This was the sky Wednesday afternoon on Lon Island New York, that’s the sun, it was horrible, smelled like campfire everywhere
Nothing like that happening here. As for the a so called wild fire armageddon? That is mostly played up. It is bad in a few areas. Canada is not burning up.
Air quality bad enough for them to close … so we worked remote for 2 days.
Where I live we have not had a problem because I live near the ocean but other parts of the state has seen some smoke.
I woke to ash on my windshield and in bed of my truck two mornings ago.
Yep. Live on an island in Northeast US. Had some days of real torture from the smoke.
What I want to know is is Canada going to apologize?
😂
...
Don't know about Armageddon 😅 But however in Quebec theirs some fire situations wouldn't be Surprised based on campfires.
Those damn bloody Quebecers 🤣
No, I'm in Europe luckily but yes I've seen what's been happening 😕
Not the UK news. That's currently about Boris Johnson and Trump 😂
Boris Johnson resigned is new
Yes Thursday we got all of the smoke from the wild fires we couldn't get any planes in or out and a lot of people had a hard time breathing even in my house I could still smell the smoke
Yes it was really bad
Heavy air with hazy smoke for several days. My eyes are not happy.
I'm sure lungs are getting clobbered too. - I just personally feel it in my eyes first due to long-time genetics of the conjunctiva. First discovered about 65 years ago when I couldn't go underwater without my eyes having a really bad reaction.
Doubt it, as Canary Islands are quite far in Africa from Canada!
Not everyone þinks so, but many contradict ðem.
"Climate change, climate change"... No, it's a fucking fire.
We had it really bad 2 days ago. You couldn't see 500 feet in front of you. It was horrible
No because as you know I'm at the other side of the pond
Absolutely
Not at all...
yes n. y. got hit
Since I'm in South Africa, I hope not...
