A question about hands..how important are hands to you?

Many a time, I've heard a girl say that a guy has "nice hands". I've never really understood what this means, though. Does having nice hands mean that you have a strong grip? Slender fingers? Soft skin? How exactly would you define the term?

In the same vein, how important are hands to you? How much of an effect do nice hands have on how you judge a guy's overall attractiveness?

i love this question! guys ask me all the time what my weakness is and its hands! I love a guy with nice soft hands with long fingers and big knuckles. It just gives off hints that the guy is strong, tough and well built naturally, he doesn't have to go to the gym or anything and workout. A strong man makes me feel safe and secure, when I like a guy with nice hands, I can imagine holding hands with him and not letting go, feeling safe by his side, him running his hands through my hair and neck, and hands also play a big part in sex, when it comes to being sensual and more even..hehe...a guy with strong hands makes me think of him touching my boobs and I just melt over them...

most guys have the hands I like on them...ive never really seen any "bad" hands unless theyre dirty with nasty nails or something...thats a different story, more of a hygiene problem, but the structure of hands themselves is common to almost all men, I guess biologically theyre supposed to be that way, whereas women have even softer, slender smaller hands...

so it doesn't really prevent me from not liking a guy just because of his hands...but it sure does add on to his overall sexiness.

I like nice hands on a guy. I wouldn't use it to judge a guy but it certainly adds to it. Clean hands, even if he has a dirty job. Oil stains that don't come out are understandable as long as they are clean. Although that Lava soap gets out oil stains even so I don't know why they couldn't be clean. Short nails please...long nails on a guy is weird to me and yes guitar players I've heard about them helping when you play or whatever. Still gross. Strong hands are a turn on...and I like callous'. Like to know my man can work. Long fingers are nice too. I guess you can sum it all up to clean, rough, strong workmen hands. Hard to find sometimes, but exceptions can be made.

I can't really explain this one too well since I'm all over the place in terms of nice hands.  I'll admit I do notice hands.  Nice hands to me are not all chewed up (nails included), are not babyish, are not really huge but not really small, are not crazy soft, are not overly worn but not unworn.  I don't really know why I think they are nice.  They are easy to spot when people are writing in a class, meeting or when you work as a cashier.

I think hands are important...to me. No offense, but I don't know if I'd really want a guy holding my hand and stuff when his hands are all dry and dirty. I do like guys with soft clean hands. Oh and nails are important too...like short short .2 cm nails...sorry...ick

soft hands.definitely add to the hotness of the guy somehow for me.a guy with clean,well-maintained nails and soft hands ,is v attractive.

they should be soft in texture but hard in strength.

thats what guys usually touch you with,so I think they are extremely important :)

Slender fingers and soft skin?  Maybe I'm different, but I like a guy with long thick fingers, not fat stubby ones, but big ones.  It makes me think about *other things* =)  Soft skin is not really necessary.  I can look at a guy's hands and tell if he works and that's sexy to me.  Construction workers hands are sexy in a way even if they might not think so.  Hands are really not important to be though.  As long as he's not wearing a French manicure he's good

Hands don't effect attractiveness at all. Usually when a girl says this to you she's already attracted to you. All I'm really looking for when I say that is for the guy to hold my hand. :-)

girls like masculine hands because they want to feel safe and "excited" when a guy holds her XD it is a very attractive trait, but in the end girls care more about a guys personality

Soft hands are marvelous. Hands are simply sexy, one unexpected touch of a guys hand on the shoulder and a girl could melt right then and there. They aren't the make or break, but they certainly sweeten the dea.

Well, I know guys who chew their fingernails are totally nasty and yeah, a guy should have nice hands because when you hold them, you don't want a rough, icky hand. A nice smooth one is nice :] and hmm I'd have to say hand are like 10% of the atrractiveness. also a strong grip makes a girl feel lie you really wanna be with her cause if you hold hands gently its like you don't care. bt if its nice and strong its like"i never want you to leave me"

for guys...a strong grip. medium fingers. not rough, but not too soft hands. dry, not sweaty. and DEFINATELY, NO LONG OR DIRTY FINGERNAILS!
