What happens when a guy flirts with a girl, things are going great everything, and the very next day acts distant and almost annoyed with her? What happened in between there? Please no attitude in your answers, I want a real answer not one of those "you're an idiot because obviously that could never happen" answers. What could have happened in a guy's brain that would cause him to flirt with a girl one day and 18 hours later act distant?

I have no real clue.

Maybe, he was having a bad day. But I can't tell without details.

Perhaps, he decides he want to back off in case he looks desperate.

That's not normal. Sometimes, people act that way and are receptive to you.

  Will a guy act distant around a girl he likes if he's having a bad day? Especially a guy who is a sensitive musician? I mean, I try to still act happy around a guy I like, even if I'm having a bad day.

  Yeah, some guys are like that. I know I was like that. But I've done a better job at controlling my emotions to not get depressed or angry over a bad day.

If it is really as you stated, girls do this all the time with guys. It's called playing hard to get.

If things were not going all that great (in his mind, not yours), then there are plenty of possibilities.
