How do I send out the "right signal"?

Question

I alone with a guy that I'm attracted to (and I know that he also finds me attractive).  We've often talked of doing things together but have done very little.  While we were alone I was hoping he would start something.  I tried to stay closer to him and brush against him and hint at things.  But nothing happened.  Later he said how much he had wanted to do something but didn't see any signs that I wanted to.  Other than just start kissing him or blurt out "F- me!" (hahaha) what other kinds of "signs" or signals should I be giving?

A lot of the trouble in communication happens when people expect others to read their hints and cues. Both sexes do this, but I think it's more common with girls ... they use subjective hints, then get irritated when guys don't interpret their hints. It causes everyone a lot of unneeded frustration. Would you visit Tokyo and get angry because everyone didn't speak French? No, so remember that guys are usually direct and simple. And when we meet girls who communicate clearly and directly, that can be a big plus for a long-term relationship.

So if you want something from a guy, being direct and simple is usually the ideal plan.

Sings and signals, neither of you is deaf, you are close enough to hear each other speak, don't play those kid games. Tell him what is on your mind, or start something, or don't whine about it later. You are not too shy to want sexual things to happen. How can you be too shy to get it rolling? Just grit your teeth and go for it, you know you both want it and are just being childish.

I need the girl to take initiative. I've been told I'm very modest (shy). If the girl doesn't take the initiative there's most likely going be a hole lot of nothing. I compensate by trying to talk about stuff... Instead of doing what I really want to...

Most guys I know what the girls to make the first move, so if you know he likes you just start kissing him.
