I'm a 20 year old guy, I met this girl 2 months ago at the gym, and we have hung out only a few times(shes the one who usually asks me to hang out, and the first time we did she was VERY persistent about hanging out with me) I tried to make a move the first time and she backed off. She didn't talk to me for a while, but then she started up again and I took it slowly (we've only hung out 4 times outside the gym) and now she can't go more than 2 days without IMing me or texting me? 2 weekends ago I told her I was interested in her and she told me she doesn't feel that "connection" with me, "at least not yet" and that she thought it was understood that we were just friends. So then I made it pretty clear that I don't really wanna hang out wit her if she has NO intentions of taking this to the next level eventually. Yet she has IMed me or texted me almost every day since I told her how I felt and I haven't contacted her first at all in that time. She wants to just be "friends" with me that much? L ast week she texted me 2 days in a row and wanted to know if I was going to the gym because she was going. I get there and she's like you wanna do cardio with me? I said nahh I'm lifting weights, and she NEVER lift weights, but this time she said ok, can I lift with you? And just yesterday, she texted me seeing what's up, then she's like You WANNA GO JOG AROUND THE LAKE LATER WITH ME? So I said MAYBE, WHEN I GET OUT OF SCHOOL, but then I never got back to her.
Ok, she def. likes you. she seems to be worried to loose you as a friend. I'm in the same boat and i've talked to many people about the situation. She won't date you anytime soon. Leave her before you get attached. its all downhill once your attached, cause she ain't changing her mind anytime soon.
