Do you know a quick way to lose ten pounds in less than a month....the trip is in about half a month..
any good suggestions??
Okay, so this is kind of late for you, sorry, but I'll put it here for people who might want to get some tips from your question, or maybe for you in the future:
I lost 11 pounds in two weeks with a variation on the South Beach diet. Technically you're supposed to buy meals from them, but I just took two weeks and cut out all excess carbs. No candy, no bread, no fruit, no pasta, no chips or fries. Two weeks. Lots of salads, lots of vegetables, all the meat you want, but no excess carbs. Now, I've been going for a week with just having those carbs at one meal a day and cutting them out for the other meals, and I've lost an additional pound this week.
I've also been getting some more exercise...just additional running or walking each day, nothing too dramatic. It's a healthy way to lose weight and it's very effective. You'd be surprised how many extra carbs you eat and how well you can do without them!
I would recommend trying to eat as healthy as possible and work out as effectively as you can until your trip (and afterwards too if you find yourself in the groove :D) I wouldn't recommend focusing on losing a certain number of pounds before the trip because if you don't meet that goal chances are that you will be hugely self conscious and end up not having as much fun if you just focused on making yourself feel and look better!
I also recommend the most important stretch of the day! The smile stretch :D! With you beaming with that brilliant smile of yours and the healthy glow of good fitness and nutrition, you are going to be the main attraction ;)
Exercise and eat well. Most people can cut their calorie intake in half just by changing a few things and eating smaller portions. You don't want to be malnourished, but a lot of people eat more than they need to, to begin with. No more sodas, beers, fats, or sugars. Take it seriously and the weight will come off. Running is the best form of exercise for a beginner, unless you've got a Taebo class nearby.
Running is the best cardio exercise. Eat healthy and wear sweats when you run it will help you sweat more of that water weight out!! You will burn fat faster.

Lots & lots of cardio and definetly steer clear of white flour & refined carbs, drink lots of water and limit salty foods
If you do all that you should be able to lose 10 lbs. in a few weeks, but even if you don't lose exactly 10 pounds, you'll look skinnier.
A quick (yet hard) way to lose ten pounds would be to quit eating bread entirely. No crotons, pasta, crackers, chips, pizza, etc. I mean NOTHING. It works....
Run. start with 20 mins and move your pace and time up to an hour or so. RUNNING will help you lose weight like crazy.
