If it's surprising to you, then either you two have become the greatest friends in the quickest time span ever, or he likes you.I'm willing to bet he likes you. If a guy likes you a lot, he'll want to do everything he can to try and spend time with you. This is not true, for every guy, but based on the fact that you haven't known each other for very long, it sounds like he likes you. Just pay attention to how he acts if he does help you move, jokes, laughing, touching, long eye contact are all signs. Guys are simple, don't overthink it, cause we don't!
Yea if I guy offers to help you move and you didn't bring it up it definitly means he likes your company. Almost definitly means he likes you. Isn't that cool though. He might like you. That should make you happy.
Maybe he's just being a nice guy or maybe he is interested in getting to know you better.
