She blocked me on Facebook twice with no explanation?

Last October I became friends with this girl. We would meet up every now and again. Once we both got really drunk and slept together. This didn't seem to change anything and we were never anything more than friends. Then just before Christmas she blocked me on Facebook and stopped responding to my messages & calls. I was quite sad at the time but I moved on.

Then in March this year she sent me a friend request and a message saying she wants to be friends again. I agreed to this. We would meet up maybe on average of once a fortnight. Have lots of fun either just the 2 of us or in a group. We hadn't spoken in about 2 weeks maybe. So today I sent her a message asking "how have you been?" Her reaction to this seems to be to have blocked me on Facebook again. 😕 We haven't fallen out. Have never had an argument. I honestly see no reason why she would act like this.

Any ideas why she would act like this? It seems she just wants to be friends whenever it suits her.

I am in the exact same situation you described, except I am the girl who has blocked the same guy twice. We were friends for 3 years, slept together once (but it wasn't a random drunk one off, he'd started flirting with me online for about a month before we decided to make things physical). He was only after friends with benefits casual, but after we slept together I realised that I had feelings - so I told him I wasn't up for a repeat of sleeping together as I wasn't comfortable with casual arrangements.

Anyway, I didn't block him twice out of spite, or to play mind games. I blocked him initially because I needed some space after what happened between us, and then I re friended him a month later - because I really wanted to try and return to being just friends. However, after being Facebook friends again for a few weeks I realised that I just couldn't handle it. If he chatted to me online, I'd be looking for clues as to whether he was still interested, and when I saw some friends of his making jokes about a new budding relationship he had with another woman - it made me feel like shit. My rational brain wanted to get over it and return to being just his friend, but emotionally I wasn't able to handle it. So I blocked him a second time.

However, unlike your friend, I did send my guy friend an explanation. I just said that I'd re added him too soon, I still felt weird about what happened and I needed time out and would re add him again in 6 months.
I doubt this girl is a crazy or being a Bitch, like others have suggested. She probably thought she could handle being your friend again but just wasn't ready.

I explained why I blocked him, a week or so afterwards via email. He doesn't have any emotions to deal with, regarding us sleeping together (because it was just sex for him), but I do, so I have to look out for myself and remove myself from a situation that is making me unhappy.

I am not going to give him a detailed run down of my exact feelings for him, as I am humiliated enough by the situation as it is. He knows I am not angry, just that I feel weird after what we did, but that I'd like to be friends again after a decent amount of cut off time. I don't see why he needs to know any more than that.

I think she might have had some crazy mental expectations for you, if she had feelings for you. Like she might have expected you to want to see her more often than every 2 weeks, or talk more often, or to even go on official dates. But since nothing happened and it might have gone at a pace that was too slow for her, she decided to block you. Purely for emotional reasons. Her ego is probably hurt.

Or, she's just playing games with you by acting hot and cold. Like that Katy Perry song.

Either way she's being immature and a waste of your time. You deserve to be with someone who isn't afraid of talking about what they want, as well as someone who doesn't block you randomly over petty things. Next time (if there will be a next time, and assume there will be if she's playing games) she contacts you, either ignore her or just tell her straight up that you're tired of her constantly blocking you and that she should stop bothering you.

Real friends are there for each other. Even if they don't speak to each other for a while, you can always could on them. Dude, you're 30-35. She's her own person. You're your own person. You can both live your lives as you want to, and you don't have an obligation to anyone.

So, if she wanted to stop associating with you, that's her prerogative. Instead of being butthurt about it, start trying to savor the sadness, until the sadness gets kind of old and boring, then start forgetting about the situation and moving on.

The only person who suffers from "anger" is the person feeling it. So, stop being angry, "forgive" her and yourself, learn from your mistakes (to the extent you think you may have done anything wrong), and move on.

Are you not angry with her? well if you are then you have every right to be angry with her. She doesn't seem to know what she wants, she is acting confused, probably a little immature. She is certainly not treating you the right way, this is not friendship at all.

I think you need to pick up the phone and call her! You need to define the relationship. Are you friends or do you mean more to one another. The only time I would ever block a guy is if I had deeper feelings for him and wanted him to put effort in and if he doesn't I'd block him because of disappointment.

Exactly, if you block someone you only do it because you have very strong feelings one way or the other. Given what the OP has described, it's highly unlikely that she hates him, so she most probably blocked him because she has strong unreciprocated feelings towards him.

We message each other a lot on Facebook. When I went to send her a message I got a pop up message saying "you can not respond to this conversation" she's no longer on my friends list and her name doesn't show up on any searches

I was told that a person cannot know when the other person blocks you and the only way to know ur name was deleted on the personb contact list is when you no longer see any updates in their profiles and everything remains the same for a long time. Is that true?

I think you can tell if someone has blocked you. Plus her name shows up in Facebook messanger as "Facebook User" although her picture is still showing

But in the case the name was removed or deleted but not blocked does it work the same in FB? The thing is that I need to know if a person delete me from that person friends list. but someone told me you can't really know.
