Why is there such a difference in these adoptions?

Adoption abroad has become huge in recent years with other countries often making it much easier for foreign couples to adopt. Many white families adopt Asian or African born babies, and though visually it may seem strange to onlookers, it has become more or less more acceptable these days to see such pairings.
Why is there such a difference in these adoptions?

But what about a black family? Why is it seen as practically completely outrageous if a black family were to adopt a White child or an Asian child, or any child outside of being black or mixed with black? In both black and other communities it's seen as practically self-hatred, or racism towards the self, or some sort of betrayal to adopt this way. Why is that so?
