Meeting my girlfriend's older marine brother. How nervous should I be?

Anonymous
So I got a surprise bit of news today. My girlfriend's older brother, a serving marine, is coming for a surprise visit to see his little sister. And he wants to meet me.

I'm his 'baby sister's first boyfriend ever (she's 20, I'm 22, he's 24). I don't know how much he knows about us dating or the fact we were close friends for 2 years before this girl finally broke down and agreed to date, but I do know I"m nervous as heck.

My girlfriend IDOLIZES her brother, and I gotta admit not without reason. Hard to argue with an army pilot who had a full ride at harvard. I mean I'm no slouch either, I have 3 years of hospital research work, am graduating in biochemistry, and am a moderately successful (sometimes paid) guitarist. But I want this guy to like me.

I also never want him to know that though our relationship has only been official for the last month it's been unofficially going on for months prior, and we've already had sex. I have no idea what to respond with if he makes a joke along the lines of 'so you're the guy who's banging my sister'. From everything I can tell he's fiercely protective of his sister and I know she's just as nervous as I am about him, she desperately wants us to get along.

How do you handle something like this?
