Why are his friends laughing when she walks past them?

(I'm a girl and I logged in on a friends account Normally I ask him, but right now he's out of town ;) )

There's this guy that I find cute. Well he got my attention again because he suddenly avoided me.

(A few weeks ago he used to stare at me one or two whole weeks. and I stared back but didn't do anything and lost interest because he didn't approach me back then, and I had thought..when a guy doesn't approach you he's probably just not that in to you.. So I didn't show up for a month)

Now when I see him, I look (a few seconds) at him when he passes me, because I can't understand why he is avoiding/ignoring eye-contact with me.. Once he even looked mad or sad can't really say.. because I don't dare to look in his eyes that long, because this ignoring makes me feel awkward.. By the way we have never talked. I kind of want to know why he is behaving like this. Did he lost interest? Doesn't he find me attractive anymore? These questions have been running through my mind when I see him.

But this week his friends not only look at me, but now they also laugh when the guy I find is cute, is with them. I don't dare to look them in the eye I kind of ignore them.. so I don't know how the guy I find cute reacts. And if he's laughing with them or not. But I know there's one of his friends that starts the laughing..

They do this when I pass them. Once they even called my name, though I don't know anyone of them.. (But we do have similar friends)..

So my question is: why are his friends laughing when I walk by.

Do you think his friends think I'm interested in him?

Or does he like me?

Or do they laugh because they know his friend doesn't like me? And find it funny to make fun of me?

But I can't seem to find the logic in that :p

Guys have you ever done this "laughing" with your friends to a girl? And why did you do it?

And do you know why his friends do this to me?

Oh this sounds like a super accurate description of me and this girl right now. There's this girl I have a huge crush on but she makes me nervous she didn't at first but for some reason it feels different now. We used to make eye contact a lot but then she started ignoring me so I decided to move on but I saw her again at the beginning of this year and couldn't help but look at her. She was gorgeous. Well a couple days later we were in the library and I could here her conversation and I couldn't tell if she actually liked me or was mocking me but either way she was talking about me. Well everyone I talked to about her led me to believe she was manipulative but I didn't really want to believe them. She seemed like a nice girl to me but I felt really cautious about it all. All of this just made me more nervous about talking to her. So now when I see her my first instinct is to just look away and ignore her cause otherwise I'll look like a deer staring at headlights. My friends know that I have a crush on her and I literally just blank out for a minute when she shows up so we end up laughing cause they call me out on it. It helps relieve the tension and keeps me from getting all sad about the fact that I can't build up the courage to talk to her. Which is extremely frustrating for me because I'm generally a confident guy. I never thought about what she might think if she caught us laughing. So I'm not sure if this helps any but maybe it'll give you a possible description of what he might be going through. A cute girl can really mess with a dudes head sometimes.

Excuse me, but your story really got my attention haha. It sounds like the situation I'm in with a guy I like at the moment. I only wanted to tell you that there are girls with trust issues, fear etc. Since I'm one of those girls, it's extremely hard for me to even make normal eye contact with the guy. On the inside I'm dying to get to know him and I may look confident, but then again, my fear won't let me do anything.

I'm telling you this just in case the girl might be in the same situation as I am..

If she started ignoring you it means that she realised you like her but also knows that you won’t even try to initiate something.

Seems like he used to like you, maybe you did something to upset him? maybe he saw you with anther guy? or you acted a certain way that hurt him.

Well I ignored him a while, maybe that upset him? I don't know. But you think he's not interested in me anymore? Because his friends only laugh when I sit near them, when I walk by they only stare..

He could be interested very much so, but mask it with laughter as a defense mechanism, because he thinks your the one who isn't interested, a lot of guys do that.

Thanks you! That makes sense. Still one more question, could it also be that his friends think I'm interested in this guy (because they saw me looking at him) and therefore find it funny to laugh.. even if this guy isn't interested in me (anymore)?

Yes it could be that. It could also be that this guy said you were snobby/stuck up or said something else to his friends about you.

yeah, you never really know. They could also be talking something else completely... like anther person or something they find funny, and they all go silent around you, because they think your attractive, or know their friend likes you.
