Is it bad to show too much affection on a first date?

Hi going on a date with this girl and was thinking of giving her chocolates on our first date, is this showing too much affection or am I just telling her straight away "listen I really, really like you?"

Im a very affectionate guy, but I worry that maybe I'm too affectionate.

I agree with wanacot; don't do chocolate, flowers, or anything "affectionate." It would be telling her "I really like you". I'm learning about this stuff. You don't want the girl to think you're "sweet", you want her to think you're "fun" and cool. The affectionate stuff adds too much pressure too early. Just joke around with her as if she were a guy, but maybe touch her in a non-creepy way every now and then while talking to show your physical attraction to her.

Instead of thinking, "I really like her," think "she really likes me" (no matter how much she seems to like your or not) and have fun with her. Best of luck.

It can depend on the girl, but I'd say hold off on the chocolate for the first date. Focus more on taking her somewhere fun and showing her a good time.

That comes off as TOO aggressive, and maybe even creepy to some girls.That's a bit much for the first date.
