What are subtle ways to ask someone's age?

We've been flirting for a while and we even kissed once. He's from a different culture, so I don't know if it's inappropriate or not to ask him. Is there any subtle way to do it? I really like him, but I need to know his age, I don't want to get attached to him, and then realize that he's much older than me. Please help! Thanks!

ask him about his birthday... and then say "Ohhh my birthday is on March 99, I turn 20 next year, how old are you?"

Ask him when did he graduate highschool. If he is a international student , they usually have to take 2 years of English at least.

Guys don't get offended when you ask their age from any culture in my experience.

Juat ask him. It's your right to know it. I mean, you've even kissed, in no way would asking how old he is be seen as rude.
