We have a very loose definition of campus (NYU, not a real campus), so I get hit on on the street all the time (all you need is a vagina - it totally does not count). Out of classmates and other students, maybe two guys a semester get really interested in me? I don't talk to guys in my classes. I go in, sit down, and don't talk to anyone - I'm there to learn, not socialize.

I don't think it's overrated! But my friends and I always say "There are no real boys at NYU." You don't realize how true it is until you go there. I took myself off anonymous if you want to continue this in private lol

actually I was supposed to graduate this year, but I didn't fulfill the requirements...NYU is impossible to graduate from...i planning on transferring to another school though...this school isn't a great fit for me...

I'm everyone's friend so I come forth as someone who would help anyone in need. Thereafter, men approach me often to be my friend or I don't know if they want something else. I guess I seem friendly. I grew up among men, so I have some similar qualities that they can assimilate with. I think I'm a 8-9 in attractiveness.

Guys have sat next to me or started conversations in class, but I've never been approached just walking around campus or anything. Never been hit on at college, just talked to in a friendly way. I don't think I'm most guys' "type" :P But *I* think I'm pretty attractive.

I'm not ugly, but I'm not the most beautiful girl either. I seem to appeal to a very specific type of boy.

but anyways, I don't get hit on that often while on campus. but I do get hit on a lot when I'm waiting for the train at the station. older guys like me, TA's to be specific. but guys approach me mostly from extra activities I do, like volunteer groups, etc

Based on your update criteria I get "approached" 2-3 times a semester. I go to Arizona State University. I don't consider myself attractive, maybe a 6 out of 10 on a good day.

None, really. I've talked to guys, but they almost never come to talk to me. Or, when they do, I can always tell its not because they're actually interested in me.

Nope. I would actually sit next to guys and try to start conversations with them and they would move away from me. I'm more of a boy repellent than a boy magnet.

Though I should mention that my college was 65%+ girls, and we were voted one of the most attractive campuses in the nation, so there were WAY prettier girls than me all over the place.

I'd say do it anyway. If they don't like you and move away, then you never have to talk to them again. Best case scenario, you can make a friend (maybe more).

And I love it there. I can't wait to move back.
