i like being called cute, but like at the right moments. like one time, I when I was going on basicallly this double date, I was really nervous, and I was talking alot, and just being obvious about it, and the guy I was with said something about how I was so cute because I was nervous, I forget how he worded it, but it melted me,... now when I'm all dolled up, wearing a nice dress and a guy picks me up, and he says 'you look cute' ill either be offended, or just like wtf... that's when you call a girl beautiful. you call a girl hot when your hooking up. they all mean very different things...

For me it goes: beautiful > pretty > cute > hot
They're all compliments and they're all nice to receive but beautiful has a certain strength to it and hot is nice but I like to feel like I'm being appreciated for more than just my body.

I like being called 'cute' because it implies the guy is looking at my face rather than my body. Pretty is also good. Beautiful, meh I rarely believe it when someone uses that word. And hot, I don't like it. It implies the guy is only after one thing.
I think cute is okay so long as it is spoken in the right context. If I happen to do something dorky and he says that's it's cute then I'm okay with that. If I happen to be wearing really casual clothes and he says I look cute, that's fine too.
Now beautiful, that's something I'd like to hear when I'm dressed up and I'm really going all out on the appearance/style. Then beautiful is the perfect thing to say.
As for hot, eh I guess he can say it when I've done something to turn him on and I'm in lengire and we're about to do the nasty. lolthe guy I loved in college when he met me he called me cute and he said it in a prolonged tone too like he really meant it, it wasn't just a quickie like oh your cute, cool, it was more like youre...so...cute! and I guess the tone in which they say it has a lot to do with it, and makes it more meaningful.
but I wouldve preferred to be called pretty or gorgeous. but that's rare I think only when your dating its appropriate to say that so I guess as a starting ice-breaker, cute is good enough for me!I don't like being called cute unless it is something I did to make me look cute...
but, when girls call me cute, yes I love it.
Guys- no I don't like it...It makes me feel like...I do not know.
to me, it's like saying 'average' I do not know why. hahaMy boyfriend always calls me "cutie" and i love it more than anything it makes me all warm inside and i blush which he finds funny and sometimes says it just to see me blush but i love being called that more than anything else.
kind of depends on the context. I can't think of a circumstance in which I would be upset by being called cute, though. I think beautiful is nicer to hear in general, but there are times when cute makes more sense, and I appreciate that too! ahah
personally to me cute is what you call a baby, a squirrel, a dog, etc
I much prefer Beautiful sounds better :PI'm fine with being called cute, but beautiful is a far much better complement, but it really does irk a lot of girls I know. but in my opinion I find it very flattering.
i like it... not as flattering as being called beautiful or some other multi-syllabic adjective ascribing pulchritude. but cute has definitely got its time and place :)
Beautiful > Cute > Attractive > Pretty > Hot (f hot, sounds trashy).
Cute is a cute thing to say and that pretty much sums it up.
I am attractive and cute, but IK I'm not beautiful. Soooo, as long as I receive an honest compliment, I'm good.:) U?
I'm not pretty, so I love being called cute. A girl who isn't pretty gets called "hot," but rarely ever cute. Cute makes me feel feminine and nice. Hot just makes me feel like he wants to plow me.
Cute is okay! I love Sexy, Hot, Beautiful, Alluring, Lovely, Ravishing, Gorgeous, Stunning, Elegant, Exquisite, Killer, and Foxy. : )
I don't mind being called cute, as long as the the guy doesn't like pat my head like I'm a child while saying it.
I don't like it. It makes me feel like a child(which I'm not-I'm almost 41). Grr!
Cute is good. However, I'd much rather be called pretty. Beautiful is a bit overboard, & I don't like being called sexy :/
I don't like it when someone calls me "cute" or "pretty". I know I sound like a narcisisst, but for me it's "beautiful" or nothing. Especially when it comes from a guy.
