Does "my hands are cold" always mean what it says?

The other night I was with two other guys and three girls at a friend's house. We went out for a walk and it was kind of cold. One of the girls kept saying how cold her hands were, but it seemed like she was saying it more than normal. Also, she seemed to be trying to walk next to me. If a girl keeps saying over and over that her hands are really cold, is it actually because it's just so darn cold, or was she trying to get me to hold her hand?

Both. Her hands are cold so she wants your hands in hers to warm them up. Hence YOUR hands.

It does sound like she was hinting for you to hold her hand. That doesn't mean she wasn't really cold, though.
