I am 23 and my girlfriend is 19. Is it acceptable?

We two are comfortable with each other but some of the friends of mine don't like it. They say she is too young for me. Friends you tell me What should I do?

When I was 19 my man was 29. I am now 20 and he is 30. We just go together. We never notice the age difference. If it doesn't matter to you, why does it matter to them? It never bugged anyone in my family. It did bug his brother for a while, but he got over it. It's been a year now and nobody mentions it, or even notices it.

I was 18 and my husband was 24 when we first started dating. There is nothing wrong with it at all except she can't legally drink or go bar hopping with yah. But, that didn't stop us from hanging out :)

It's legal. I see the only problem would be if you wanted to go out to a bar with friends or a certain concerts. She couldn't engage in it due to her age. Do your friends just not like her or something?

LOL, I like how you referred to us as "friends". Kinda neat. Nevertheless, what's important here is how you two feel about each other. Not your audience. If she's comfortable, then they have to respect that. They are doing nothing but being negative and disrespectful to her and your relationship with her.

well you can't change the fact that she's 19 and you're 23 but its not bad at all..i don't think she's too young but at least she's not 18 that's boarder line 17 hehehe
