Why do some young boys tend to have crushes on their babysitter?

I'm babysitting a 8 year old boy witha crush on me. He constantly tells me I'm pretty and making kissy faces at me. I usually ignore it but lately he tries to hold my hand and kiss me. 
I'm not making a big deal out of this. I get the boys have crushes. Its just creeping me out and I don't want his mom getting the wrong idea.
So do I keep ignoring him or tell him I have a boyfriend or what?

It amazes me, ya know? Girls themselves ask all these questions yet they fail to understand that most of the things boys do that annoy you, girls are way worse. You say young boys are flirting with female babysitters, well how do you explain all the teen girls seducing male teachers. I have done my reading and grinding against a teacher at a dance right in front of everyone? Really? Or how about rushing past security guards to swarm your fav celeb even after the security said no. It baffles me how you females do all this and get surprised when we guys do just a small variation of a third cousin of that same thing.

Phew! That felt good. Ok, I would suggest telling the mother. If she yells at the kid, she's cool. If she yells at you, take the money and never work for her again.

I work with kids too.. And I have several self proclaimed "boyfriends" ages 6-8.. They don't really get it at that age. He just likes you
