Why does the nice guy always get screwed over?

Just about every relationship I have been in, I have been screwed over, and even friendships. I compliment girls all the time on how good they look, how nice they are and so on. I listen to them when they have a problem, and I give them advice. I am the one always here to listen, and to have a shoulder to cry on. I am the nice guy. My question is why do I always get screwed over, and can't meet that one girl that appreciates me? I think I am some what attractive. I am always left for the guy that treats the girl bad and is immature.

If I had a dollar for every time I've read about how good/nice guys lose out and aren't appreciated, I'd be wealthy. You hit the nail on the head when you said these girls are immature. They do not see what a gem they have in front of them. They have no idea how hard it is to find a good, loyal, loving, adoring guy. When you do a lot of dating and encounter games, players, being led on etc. it can be exasperating. You learn very quickly to seek the nice guy who will treat you right, make you happy and add to your life.

PLEASE don't give up or change who you are. Any girl in her right mind would nab you up in a heart beat. Please don't give up! There is a special girl out there for you. Be selective of who you open up to, make her earn your trust and your heart before you offer your whole self to her.

What most women really want is a kind and confident man.

Kind is not necessary the same as low self esteem, timid, or weak.

Confidence is not necessary the same as being an asshole.

The confusion arises when men with low self esteem try to pass it off as kindness and then cry because "women don't like nice guys", instead of realizing that it is the lack of self esteem that this pushing women away.

Exception: there are the women that are young and inexperienced who confuse assholeish behavior with confidence. I believe that this contributes to the "women only love assholes" mentality that many men have.

It sounds like you know you're a great guy, but the girls don's see that you know that. You could be more confident with your girl. Don't let them take advantage of you and always keep in mind that you deserve a great girl. If they don't want to appreciate what you give them, that's their loss

There is no mystery. Relationships need attraction. Is the girl going to be attracted to the guy who put himself in the friend zone or the guy she wants to get to know? Make yourself interesting to the opposite sex.

It is possible to do both, take it from me. There are girls that go after the nice guys and I prefer them over the girls that go after the others.
