I'm a bigger person in the sense that I tend to see myself as an adult and my opponent as a kid. If a kid does something bad like throwing a rock through a glass window, you can't just ignore it - you need to make them realize they're wrong :P
I can definitely appear mean sometimes, but as long as facts are on my side, I'll either try to convince the other person, or won't talk to the person for ...A long time, if ever.
In nowadays society, when people do something stupid/bad, some people just say "be a bigger person" and ignore it. Let them do as they please...Fine...I could easily do that...But I'd know the person would do the same stupid/bad mistake again if they're not taught a lesson... Just like a kid would throw a rock again if nobody told him it was a bad thing to do.

Sometimes I get annoyed and question doing the right thing, but then I ask myself, 'Is the struggle worth the reward?' It usually doesn't make me feel better in that moment, but when I reflect on the situation a few hours or days later, I'm often glad of keeping my cool.
At the end of the day, do you not reflect on your mistakes and wish yourself better?
One thing that inspired me from Neale Donald Walsch is to ask yourself 'What would love do?' Or, the golden rule, 'Treat others are you want to be treated.'
I would not want someone to belittle me or insult me, so why do that to another?
There's a person I have to deal with on a fairly regular basis that is always causing problems and I'm stuck being the bigger person every time. Yes, I sure am sick of it, but it makes the other person look like a complete idiot. Just think, who looks worse?
yes it's hard sometimes cause I just want to lash out and get that instant gratification. but it's always better in the long run to take the higher road
Ugh, all the time. People can be very immature, but it must feel better to say how you really feel and run away with that. lol

It can be very frustrating sometimes to not take that low road in the heat of the moment, but taking time to step away from the situation and think about it will usually show that taking the high road is, in the end, the right way to go.
