Do guys like innocent, sweet, child-like girls?

I'm a virgin and I look really young for my age. I'm 19 and people teens and adults always think I'm 15 or 16. I also have a young voice.

This guy who likes me shows plenty of interest in me, such as kissing me, hugging me, and constantly pulling me into his arms, but he also says things like "You're vulnerable. You're soft, young and tender. You're cute and sweet. You're so innocent."

...Is this good or bad? Is he attracted to these traits? I mean he will call me hot or beautiful sometimes, but sometimes he acts like I'm a kid. He actually sings me Disney Songs.

He's only 2 years older than me. One time, he told me to act my age.

I know I have a cute personality and such, but should I act more mature? Should I act and sound older? Should I talk about more serious subjects? What can I do to convince him that I'm an adult?

Another guy I talk to constantly tells me I look like a baby. He said I look like I'm 14 or 15. He's 24 and he likes me too, but I can't tell if these guys are turned off by me or what.

To be more specific on how I act... I get excited over Domo, Strawberry Shortcake and Hello Kitty. I always ask my guy to sing me my fave disney song, I make him tell me a story if I feel sick, he says I have a cute "baby doll like" laugh.


But I like other things! I talk about classical and jazz music, basketball, and current movies.

I guess my real question is: IS HE SECRETLY TURNED OFF by me and finding me immature? Does he secretly want me to grow up?

I know a guy who's been with a girl for about 4 years and he broke up with her for a couple reasons. One of the reasons was because she is immature and according to him "acts like she's 13." Now this guy is 17, his mindset and maturity level is probably a bit different than a 21 and 24 year old. Anyway, he says her childish ways and immaturity is annoying. Then a bit after that he tells me she's so sweet not to keep around. So I guess it could be a good thing and bad. I'm sure it would be annoying having someone treat you like a kid, and it could cause problems down the line in both of your relationships. After awhile a guy might feel like your dad instead of your boyfriend or husband. Or feel you are too immature or childlike for them to feel comfortable with or it's annoying. Who knows. I don't think you should change, because if it's you then don't change yourself for a guy... be yourself. If you are wondering what they think then the best thing you could do is probably ask them.

Wow. It didn't even take long for practical, objective feedback. Thank you so much for your well-given advice! And thanks for giving me a real life example. It's certainly a reality check. You've helped me probably more than you realize. Thank you. I'm going become more serious. Like I have the same feeling too that at first my personality is cute, but eventually it may get annoying to them.

And yeah, it is irritating to be treated like a kid. My guy used to have more respect for me. Thanks :)

You should do what you feel is the best thing to do, but if you are going to change yourself for this guy then I don't know if it's the best thing to do. He could love your sweet, innocent, and childlike ways. I'm not him nor am I you so I don't know. I was just telling you what I know and what I have read and heard. Do what you feel is best though.

Look do you like they guys act around you or is it a turn off? If you like it then carry on seems like the guys like it too but if you don't then yep try to a act a bit more mature. Up to you :)

well I think part of the reason is you can't help it just be your self and that what your doing and people like it so who cares lol don't change!

Sure... It's great to be fun and have a sense of inner-childhood and innocence, but have a serious side too. Present yourself in a mature fashion... It's a huge turn-off when a girl is still absorbed in fairyland or whatever and/or still seems to think that she's daddy's little princess.

I like Disney too and all don't get me wrong, and it's perfectly OK to like it, but know where to draw the line...

Some guys are into that sort of thing. In Japan that is THE thing guys like in girls. Its not as universal in the west but there are still a lot of guys with a lolita thing.

i love those type of girls, I actually find it hard to find girls like that. I don't want a girl that's had loads of boyfriends. if anything that's a turnoff me, if they had loads of boyfriends.3+ boyfriends no show for me with that girl.
