Anything with high amounts of sugar like soda
Beer, as it converts to sugar

Eat several small meals throughout the day, instead of the traditional three meals a day.
The smaller meals you ate should be:
Vegetables
Fruits
Whole Grains (100% Whole Wheat bread)
High Protein content (lean grilled chicken, tuna)
Healthy fats (Avocado, Nuts)
You need healthy fats and high protein to keep you fuller.
Drink lots of water throughout the day as well.
Get plenty of sleep each night because lack of sleep leads to weight gain.
For exercise, workout 30 minutes a day 3 days a week to start. Start off doing elliptical machines and progress to stuff like high intensity workout routines like burpees. Within 90 days of following this simple plan, you should shed at least 15 pounds. In half a year, you'll be down to 30 pounds or more as your metabolism increases.

Get a fitness app like Calorie Tracker MyFitnessPal. It will give you a target amount of calories to eat based on your age, height, weight and amount of activity in your daily life.
You could just then stay under the target, or you can help yourself along and become healtheir in the process by exercising.
Exercise and less caloric intake is the best choice in my opinion. I think weight watchers is a very good program to follow, and I believe you can do it online now. Good luck!

The bottom line is eating fewer calories than you burn. There are many ways to get there -- do what works for you. Any diet that works, does so because 1) it controls calories and 2) it's sustainable.
Besides diet I suggest one simple thing. Walking. Walk whenever you can. Every day if you have the time. One hour of walking is 300 calories burned from your body. I use to walk a lot very long distances. Its one of my hobbies.
i lost 50lbs when i stopped going to mcdonalds, i am planning to stop going to KFC so i would lose another 50 lbs but those bucket chicken are yummy
