Hi I understand the struggle. After paying bills I only had $40 to last me till my next check and some of that had to go to gas money.
Beans and rice are ur friends. Get dried beans not canned. And not instant fifteen minute rice either, get the cheap kind that come in the long bag.
Cheese is a waste of money. When you are struggling you only need food with higher nutritional value and will fill u up. Cheese in my opinion is a condiment. All it do is flavor ur food but u can't just eat cheese. So don't buy it. It's better to buy a few spices like salt, pepper, etc that u can flavor ur beans with
Get a bag of frozen green veggies a pack is usually less than $2-3 and can supplement ur meals and stectch it out.
For fruit buy what's in season and or less expensive. When money low I don't buy berries this week I bought a pineapple for about $2.50. They not in season but last a long time and store well. Oh and get a box of plain oatmeal (not instant) this is really filling. I can add fruit, cinnamon or sugar with it and I don't be as hungry for hours.
You have to cook to make ur foods last and filling. Don't waste ur money on instant cooked food Bc u will be hungry In a few hrs. Also if there is a little hood grocery store near u go there and buy ur meat. I live near the ghetto and I go to the grocery store there I bought a T-bone steak for $3.60 and just cut it up after cooking it so I could stretch that piece of meat out for 2 dinners. It ain't easy but it can be done. Good luck to u and I pray that better finances come your way.

As someone else said, patties of what? Are you broke and this is why you are eating so little? If so you need to learn to cook and batch up food, or get to a wholesaler and buy in bulk each month. I've been so poor I can't afford to eat, it is dreadfully unhealthy. I lost four stone over ten months as a result of five meals a week (I got an evening meal at my work). It is not good.
It really depends on how much you weigh.
one patty (according to google) - has 200 calories and one banana has 100 calories (personal knowledge)
so you're eating 600 calories in a span of 8 hours, assuming that you have another 8 hours to eat and not giving me the caloric amount of the food you're going to be eating at home there are two variables that will lead to multiple conclusions.
Now back to your weight, assuming you are a 'normal' weight and 'normal' height, I will assume that you weigh 120lbs.
A 120lb female, at your age range 25 to 34, at 5'6" will need 1551 calories a day. You've already gotten 600 so you'll need an additional 950 calories to help maintain your weight. This is assuming that you don't exercise and that you have an average amount of muscle.
So to conclude, so long as you get 950 calories from the food at home you should be okay.
Tip: High caloric foods: Peanut Butter, Peanuts, fast food.
Does it look like this?

What is the filling? Is it sweet? Does it contain meat?
I'd say: if it's sweet it's probably a little too much sugar if you eat that each day.
But 2 of these and 2 bananas for 2 meals is indeed a little too little... I'd at least eat the banana's on bread than.

can't you add more fruit and vegetables in there for free? and you need more fiber in that diet.
As someone who has lived very cheap when it comes to food, I would recommend that you try to vary it more. It is unhealthy to eat the same stuff all the time, as far as I'm aware. Plus in my opinion it really lowers your quality of life a lot. If possible maybe rotate between different fruits, different fillings, etc?
I usually just go shopping keeping in mind that I need greens, protein and carbs. That makes it pretty simple to buy cheap. I'll get various types of bread, potatoes and oats, milk, cheese, fish and meat, plus all sorts of fruits and vegetables.Like, Jamaican patties? That with the bananas would do for a lunch but you'd probably like to have a sub with lots of veggies or something every once in a while.
