Do you have any kind of mental illness (no judgmental comments please)?

I have borderline personality disorder... not to be confused with DID (DID is multiple personalities, which i do NOT have). Borderline personality is basically wildly unstable emotions and emotional reactivity and extreme mood swings, and comes with reckless often dangerous behaviour, poor impulse control as well as very sexual behaviour and unstable body image (because of this I also self harm and am anorexic). I am also the daughter of a bipolar mother.

Do you or anyone you're close with have any kind of mental illness? If you'd like to share any struggles you've had with that you're more than welcome, or if you'd like to PM me to talk you may, talking with others about their struggles always helps me feel better for some reason.

I think i have social anxiety , but that's probably because i hate going out and socializing , i would rather stare at a wall for hours than talk to random people (but if i have to i can perfectly blend with people and converse naturally with anyone) it's a matter of preference. I'm also a covert (closet/stealth) narcissist but luckily i don't like exploiting people or playing with others i just want the people i love (family and reaaaally close friends) to love me , respect me and trust me.

First off, sorry to hear about that.

For me, I have anxiety disorder/social anxiety. When I go up to do a speech, my palms get sweaty, I stutter my words and my body starts to shake. It's terrifying 😓 As for the social anxiety, I would much rather avoid large groups of people. I may look okay on the outside, but on the inside I'm panicking. It's an everyday struggle.

Yeah, I've had lifelong struggles with depression and anxiety and also really severe ADD.

Throughout my life, it's all sort of compounded and morphed into this all-encompassing, unidentifiable mental illness that's just completely taken over my life. It's gotten to the point where I'm just completely dead inside. I'm still trying to unravel it all.

That sounds like depersonalization to me sug. Or some type of dissociation. It could be brought on by the trauma of living with your other conditions.

The thing with depersonalization is therapy can really help you with that. Or just making dramatic lifestyle changes. There are times in my life i don't even like thinking about because i was where you are... and things still aren't great but at least i feel you know? And its worth that. Going on autopilot is no way to live.

I've been to 3 psychiatrists, 2 psychologists, a counsellor, a nutritionist and a hypnotist. Most of them were less than helpful. Some of them were positively harmful. I've become deeply disillusioned with therapy, or at least conventional therapies.

You get out what you give in. I know for me therapy helped so much once upon a time. But the stuff I deal with now it can't do much for. BPD is really difficult to treat and I'm beyond caring. Im just the wayi am..

I have no former diagnosis asides from Generalized Anxiety but I'm pretty sure I got some other shit too. I'm very reckless, moody and think very lowly of myself also I got no friends, no girlfriend and myt family hates me for some reason. seem like I got some fucked up shit in ma head

I've been diagnosed with asperger's syndrome, and my diagnosis also has "identity disorder", i've never asked about it and i'm not really sure if i'm even supposed to know, as no one has ever mentioned it, so i'm not sure if it means DID or something else.

I have BPD, OCD, generalized, social and panic anxiety, ADHD, Autism and possible bipolar (not diagnosed with it yet). It is really sad that I can't watch not even 5 minutes of a movie, go to vacation, play with my brother or just go outside without something stopping me. :(

I have depression and anxiety. My mother is bipolar and the illness runs in her family. ( grandmother, 2 of my aunts and a cousin have it too) my little brother has bipolar too. As you can tell, mental illness runs in my family.

I used to suffer from depression 2 years ago. That one time I suffered from depression and anxiety, I fell apart then. But somehow, I got myself together and fought depression without anyone's help or therapist or anything. Just me!

I have ADHD and dyslexia however i can spell sub par and I have a 140 IQ so I think i can overcome these obstacles. I've done it so far you just need hard work. Why do you ask anyway?

Yes, I have anxiety. They said I might have mild OCD, too. My sister has worse anxiety than I do, though. My aunt has mild autism but her son has full autism.

Not me but my ex fiancee had bipolar disorder. He is a very successful guy professionally and in other areas but his BD was set off by past drug use in college.

Yes, I have OCD ( Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), and a lot of people act like doctors and diagnose themselves with OCD lol, while in reality they don't have it. But no I'm not like that, I was diagnosed with it when was 16.

Anxiety in itself is not always a disorder, but generalized anxiety disorder is. It can ve a symptom or a condition

Most kids with ADD and ADHD don't seem to get the support they need growing up. They're just treated as though they're problematic which sucks:(

Yeah that's true. I haven't grown out of it completely yet. I kinda just learned to use it to my advantage. I still avoid driving for that reason.

Thank you for your kind words. Very few people know about my mental health issues, because I always smile and spread happiness. But deep inside, I'm dying every day. No job, no career, very few friends etc. Being in a messed up third world country isn't helping my cause either. :(

Well I knoe it's cliche but there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. As long as you're here there's beautiful things left to experience, i promise. But its definitely more difficult and that really does suck:(
