You are still growing at 18. Your growth plates pretty much fuse in your 20's, so there is some time left. I wouldn't be over optimistic however, you have nearly come to an end. I have heard that activities that require intensive stretching can help. I also have heard that bad stature leads to an additional hidden inch or two. Try to improve your stature and make sure to have a healthy diet with all essential minerals and vitamins needed for optimal growth. There is not much you can do. Much of it has to do with genetics.
Do NOT get surgery. It's not worth it. You should research and watch YouTube videos of the process patients have to go through for bone lengthening. The pain is excruciating for them. They have to drill a hole in their knee after they cut the bone... would you really want to live a life like that?
Be thankful for the healthy body you have. I know you're a guy and it sucks to be short, but you are not the only one. Plus, there are so many short girls to pair up with!
Men don't usually stop growing until like their early 20's, and why don't you just date a short girl? I know plenty who are okay with being with short guys since they still end up taller than them anyway.
I'm 5'5. i take cues from characters like Tyrion Lannister. Shortest guy in the series, but arguably the most interesting character on the show. He doesn't focus on his height, but he focuses on filling his brain with information that can put him several steps ahead of anyone else. The advantage of being short is that it sort of pushes your to develop a more robust personality and a more intellectual mind, because you aren't able to rely on just "showing up" like taller guys are. Focus on becoming the most interesting man in the world sort of speak. Don't spend all your time lamenting about how short you are. There are a lot of guys taller than you who are doing terribly with women because they are lacking in other more important areas.
That leg extension thing? Yeah if you enjoy paying tens of thousands to have your legs broken in half and stretched.
You can better yourself in other ways apart from height.

You're still taller than me... I'm 5'4 ish, a lot of my friends are shorter than me still and I'm older than you. But still, chillax, you ain't as short as you think. I would consider anything below MY HEIGHT short. So you're completely fine.
And even so, I've seen more short players (most shorter than myself) getting girls all the time than tall ones. It's all about your attitude man, and your looks as well sometimes I guess.
I dont understand where all these men online with height issues come from?
Im 5'6 and I dont have a problem being short, being short is an opinion and shouldn't define how you feel about yourself.
If you go to other countries, in other communities you will find most men are that height or shorter. Who cares man.
If a woman chooses a man only because of his height then she's worthless to begin with.
It annoys me when I see guys complain about being short, it's not that bad. I'm 5'3" and my shortness hasn't impacted me at all because I never let it get to me and I never used my height as an excuse for failure. A few people might look at you negatively for being small, but they're just idiots so their opinion doesn't matter.
You are more than just a height. Remind yourself that you have many great things to offer, not just your size. Your height is the same as Tom Cruise. It's what you do with the whole package that counts. Accept it and own it! :)
hey im chinese, and im 187cm in height, and is considered very tall among my race.
Chinese traditional ways:
1. Stretching, like really, a lot
2. Make a pure chicken soup (young chicken, or chick) with bean roots and boil it overnight. it should look golden, like pure chicken essence, but with bean roots (slightly bitter)
Dont feel sad. I actually grew 2inches after my 19th birthday. Most guys grow until 21 anyway. So no stress
At least you're the size of an adult. I'm the size of a child at 5'4". I'd be happy if I could be 5'6" 5'7"
It's hard but you're not really limited to what you can do. I always like to think about how Bruce Lee was ony 5'7"
Week I think your should just accept yourself.. As you are you don't have your height in control and getting a surgery is risky... Cause if there was a actual surgery available then everybody would be tall right?
No u may be short but most girls are still shorter than u. So u r still taller than them. I don't think u should get the surgery
That's not really that short, the guy I'm seeing is only 5'7" and it doesn't bother me.
5'6 isn't that short. You're still taller than me, I'm 5'4. But like literally everyone said, you'll grow more and stop around your early 20s.
Surgery can not fix that for you.
Honestly your not even that short.
It's genetics. You just have to accept it your looks. I did and I'm ugly, it just takes time and telling yourself it's going to be ok.

Based on what I heard and learnt... a lot of guys don't stop growing until they reach 20-21.
I live in Sweden and most of my girl friend experienced that surgery, i can not say it worth.
Then go to Vietnam to feel tall... most guys there are 5'3" accordin' to wikipedia...
Why not just learn to accept it?
just move to china and you'll be above average.
