First, I just want to say congrats and good luck on your weight loss journey! :) The first 10 pounds is already a great step forward. Honestly dieting is 80% of losing weight. It's not just what you eat, but also how much. It'll take your body some time to get used to it, but for example, if you go out to eat, right when you order you can ask them to pack half of it to go, and you can limit your intake that way. It's all about having more output than input. Gym is good too, I would start with more cardio, walking to get to where you can do a slight jog. You should start off with body weight exercises, pushups, squats, lunges, crunches, leg raises, until it get's too easy for you and you can crank out at least 20 of each on each side with no struggle. Then you can move to weighted exercises. Typically I do cardio 3 days a week, and lift the other 3 days, you should probably start with that because your muscles aren't used to being worked out yet, and having an every other day schedule will give them time to rest and recover.

I'm 5ft4 and I was around 220lbs a few months back. Although I lost at least 15-20lbs I still need to lose a lot more. I know how you feel. Try planning out your meals a week in advance, do a food diary if it helps. Drink plenty of water, green tea e. t. c, exercise regularly. If the gym doesn't go well just power walk for 30-40 minutes daily, after 40 minutes your body shuts down and won't be doing any fat burning. It will be hard, it takes discipline but if your have your head around it, you will find it much easier. When exercising make sure you take your inhalers 15 minutes before it and hydrate yourself, I too am an asthmatic. Good luck sweetie x

walk a lot and swim if you can, running is pointless for beginners especially if u have joint issues. swimming is low impact and can help you get in cardio, also have your mom help you a lot. make sure she doesn't have junk food around that you can easily snack on late into the night.
make sure you stop eating past 7:00, get in an early dinner and resist the midnight snacking routineCheck out FitnessBlender on youtube.
Eat a lot of vegetables.
Stop carbs / not completely though.
