i'm fat and i say i'm fat it's not a big deal saying i'm fat is like say i'm white or have brown hair etc. what i have a problem with is people judging because of my weight or telling me i can't do something because of my weight or treating me like i'm lesser than because of my weight. the word fat is a label like anything eals but it dose not make up all of me and i will not let it define. so if you want to call me fat go right a head.

I'm overweight right now. I don't call myself big and be politically correct about it. I'm really open about it and how I need to lose some unhealthy weight. Some people try to tell me I look good. I might to them but I know I'm not in the shape or size I want to be.
Let's face it, no one wants to be fat and the person who is fat wants to take extra measures to get in shape. So, instead of calling them fat or obese, no matter however true it is, its advised to be kind and mention that the person is 'fit' instead of 'fat'
I don't say big, for the same reasons you don't. It's factually misleading and detracts from the reality of the situation as if to coddle their inadequacies.

I agree. When I go online and people refer to themselves as "full figured" I always flag their ad cause I think they are insulting actual full figured woman.
Because 'fat' has bad connotations with it and most people take it as an insult? Like, I'm sure you wouldn't like to be told you're 'fat'
They are big, they take up a big amount of space. Skinny people are often called small.
