Lol nah... I mean, mammograms don't rlly HURT much, they're just, well, **unpleasant** in a very distinctive sort of way. They definitely aren't PAINFUL, in any sense that truly deserves that word (... and this is coming from someone whose mammograms are more unpleasant and more extensive than most, because I have breast implants).
What's going on, here, is rlly just one of the most fundamental ways women bond together -- by sharing our annoyances and eye-rolls.
Ya know? I mean, just think for a sec how many girlfriend-moments revolve around "Oh my GOD can you believe?" "Srsly I swear..." "Ugh these people..." Lmao it's practically a ritual.
All this is born from REAL suffering, of course -- period cramps, sexual and personal repression, labor, childbirth, you name it, being a woman HURTS... so we learn to hurt **together**. And so, it just feels good to bitch about the same things, even when they objectively aren't rlly that bad.
... And of course, that's even better when there's a healthy dose of "Men! Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em" attached to it (as there is here). Ahah that kind of banter is like crack, I swear.
__
Above and beyond this...
Don't forget that a mammogram is, by its very nature, a STRESSFUL experience!
There's rlly no such thing as a POSITIVE outcome from a mammogram. There's one horrible, awful, life-changing negative outcome, and then... there's the **lack** of that one outcome.
In any case, teh best you can do is a temporary reprieve. No mammogram will ever say "You're free from worrying about breast cancer *forever*!"
... So, for many women, a mammogram -- understandably enough -- just creates a sense of intense uncertainty and DREAD. Like, literally might walk out of there with what feels like a death sentence.
Under THOSE circumstances, it's not surprising at all that lots of women start to perceive the pain as more than it rlly is.

I am glad they have the technology to do this. I dont care who invented it. I had one done last year... and sure it is very uncomfortable. But I have a lot of friends who had breast cancer. And having a mammogram saved their lives.
It's not the most comfortable procedure but it is the most effective. It's worth the discomfort for the sake of your breast health! The penis crushing machine would be interesting, there'd undoubtedly be some screaming.
There are scanning machines available now that do a much better job. I think they are the same as is used in the UK for detecting prostate cancer. Much more accurate than invasive methods, that can be hit and miss. These machines are similar to MRI and CAT scans.
I'll trade this for a prostate exam any day of the week especially if they need to do a biopsy afterwards

Hey, that's funny. I understand that is uncomfortable and borderline barbaric but you are showing your bias. Women today on average have more education than men. Why hasn't any one of them accepted your challenge to replace the current mammogram?
You ladies are welcome to invent something better...
We'd would use it to masturbate, it wouldn't go well.
Why because only men can invent new things that's so sexist.
Honestly I would do just fine since I don't take medication for anything really.
No. At my last mammogram, all the staff were women. There are brilliant female minds. I'm sure something better will come from one of them.
Aye, give it a good squeeze, the balls too.
mammograms suck but so do prostate exams
No, Why?
Because prostate exams are a thingIf that's your new prostate test I'll take it.
Why do men have to do everything?
I don't know what your talking about
lol all tests suck honestly XD
women just will never understand
