Are a drunk mans words a sober mans thoughts, men?

Okay Boys, So Please explain to me how you all can drink so much and spill your guts out to a girl...then the next day you remeber everything except the convo you had with this certain someone...Do you guys seriously feel like its easier to open up when your drunk than being sober and can we actually take your words seriously?...This guys says I love you when he's drunk and when he sober he just says I care about you alot. But when I asked him the other day about the I love you. all he said in a sarcastic tone "Honey I never said I loved you". I felt so foolish. We have been broken up for 4 months and I recently stopped all communication with him...So what's the deal guys?

I will tend to open up a little more when drunk and say meaningful things that I otherwise would not have said. However, I also tend to say things like "Cheeseburger armadillo, the airplane's banana chair smells like apathy". Some of my drunken statements may be meaningful, but I have said things that I didn't mean at all and when asked about it later, was confused about why I might have said it. I answered no in the poll, because there is no way to know if he meant it or was just being drunk and nonsensical.

hahaha that's funny but you make a great point! Well we haven't talked in 3 weeks and I'm thinking that he meant everything he said. He was drunk upset when we talked and had an arguement I'm guessing he remembers that. I've kept my distance and realized its better that way.

Ok, on occasion, when drunk someone can let something slip that they normally wouldn't say. But for the most part no they're not. Only once have I seen a drunk guy let something slip that was later confirmed when he was sober.

are a drunk woman's words a sober woman's thoughts? remember beer goggles? if a drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts, why would a man sober find a certain woman repulsive, then when he is drunk find her tolerable enough to screw? food for though...and no...the answer is no lol.

Thanks. I've dated this kid for 1 year now...and the times he's said I love you we don't "screw" lol I remeber everyhting I have said to this guys sober or not. And we both have partied and drank like there is no tomorrow. I remember every detail the next day and he conveniently doesnt.

LOL your lucky...i remember NOTHING when I'm drunk. people just tell me I tell them the same things I do sober but 100x more or I get really ballsy and say things to people I'm too embarrassed to say when sober >.<

It really depends on the guy and how they take to alcohol. In my case? Yes. I mean, I've never been really drunk, but I have been damn near, but I definitely opened up more and it shocked my brother lol.

In the case of the guy, he might just be the really affectionate "I love you" kinda guy when drunk. I'd not bother with it. Feelings aren't something that being drunk will show better, just thoughts (like how someone thinks about one subject or another).

I have been dating him for a year we broke up 4 months ago. and even when we first met. 2 weeks in he said I love you and blamed it on the alcohol the following day he was like did I say I love you he looked embarrassed and I said yes. but the crz thing is that I know he meant it and I wanted to say it back also because I meant it aswell. then every time there after when he's drunk he used to say it. and just "never remembered"

Then he's immature. He shouldn't be so hesitant to say it if he feels it and was in a relationship with you. Nor lie about it. He's stupid.
