Imo, I think the source to your "weird feelings" is the influx of fiber in your diet.
The gas, the peculiar growling of your stomach (cauz it's not empty), the bulging feeling in your stomach...is all common when your body is adJusting to a large amount of fiber.
Also...the minerals (potassium, calcium, maganese, etc) in fruits / veggies...your body isn't used to in these amounts. I know the feeling is strange...but once your body gets used to these substances in these IDEAL amounts, your body will flush out toxins from your body, and you'll have AWESOME energy levels. :)
As for the length of adjustment period...if your eating habits was very minimal in processed foods...then it's normal for the body to adjust for quite a few weeks, as it gets used to working off of "real" food.
Hopefully I helped. I'm not a dietician or nutritionist, but I read A LOT about this subject (not just online, but actual "non-trendy" books also). :)

A change in diet can have an effect on you. I just made some radical changes to my eating habits and I'm the same problems plus others. You can actually look up side effects of dietary changes. It's a long list.
