I know people have many different traditions, and eat many different things on XMAS. So do seafood, some have a Christmas ham, some eat a lamb, etc. So what did you have or are you going to have? I had prime rib, sauteed mushrooms in a whine butter garlic sauce, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, salad, bread, apple pie, ice cream, and coffee... I feel like I'm going to explode right now. =D

Well, for Christmas Eve we went to a friend's house and they made goose, stuffing, gravy, pasta, salad, bread, and for dessert I brought over some cheesecake and sugar cookies. :) Today we're having them over at our house, and I think we're making Indian food.

And what pre tell do you mean by Indian food? Any particular food that will be served? Name some dishes and if you don't think I would have a clue what they are feel free to elaborate. =)

Sure. :) Looks like there's going to be chicken tikka masala, shrimp curry, lamb biriani (rice and lamb pieces), egg curry, aloo gobi (potatoes and cauliflower), Naan (bread), cucumber raita (kind of a yogurt sauce with cucumbers, it goes well with the rice), and little samosas as an appetizer. There are many different spices used with these dishes, so lots of flavor. :)

My family had cuts of ham, goose and turkey for the meat. Potatoes (both roasted and mashed), Brussels sprouts (cooked with the ham to give it a different flavour) cabbage, carrots and parsnips composed the vegetables, and we had bread sauce and stuffing on the side. Good stuff.

I've never really been a fan of Brussels. What kind of flavor is imparted on the ham by cooking them together?

The taste of the sprouts weren't as bad as they would have been on their own, though they still had a bitter aftertaste to them. The ham was fine, however.

Apparently, though, being able to taste the bitterness from Brussels sprouts is a genetic thing. Some families enjoy them, while others don't. Crazy, huh?

I'm not sure I'm stuck at work. But my mom is bringing me food later :). I think were having chicken and all the normal stuff potatoes should be awesome.

At my mom's house we had... Roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, carrots, green beans, salad, rolls, apple pie, and cheese cake.

Then I went to my dad's house and had... Turkey, chilli, shrimp, stuffing, potato salad, and pumpkin pie.

Everything was delicious! I ate so much, my stomach is going to explode =p

we had this pecan orange salad, green bean casserole, mashed sweet potatoes, baked pork loin with home made honey mustard sauce.. then for dessert we had this pineapple whipped creme with pecans on top pie and chocolate cherry cheese cake (I made the cheese cake)

yeah we just eat with 6 family members.

I dunno, I just drink milk after meals for some reason and then warm water like 15 min later. I don't know , I suppose it's just a habit . Weird eh? ^^

Some pasta with mucles, some cod fish with lemon, and a typical southern Italian traditional meal, eel. Lets just say it is not my favorite of seafoods, very chewy and a bit fat, kinda like pork.
