If you're instructed to not work out or do anything strenuous, then don't. The reason is because exercising increases blood pressure, which in turn puts extra stress on damaged tissue, such as your currently bruised brain. Whatever you do, refrain from strenuous cardio, etc.
I go to the gym 9 times a week and can see where you're coming from. The fact is, its only two weeks. First, if you're a workout regular, two weeks off can be good for your body. It will give it time to recover from your normal strenuous workouts. In addition, you're not going to gain much (if any) weight in 2 weeks.
My best suggestion: In the times you usually workout, focus your time on stretching your muscles. It will keep them loose until you can get back into the gym. In addition to that, just watch your diet. Be careful about what you eat and those two weeks will be more beneficial than a loss.

Follow what the doctor says and don't do any physical activity besides steady walking until instructed.
I know the feeling of worrying about gaining weight when you're injured.
Diet-wise, make the adjustment of eating more protein (to conserve your muscle mass) and eating less carbs (since you'll be less active).
Hang in there, girlie; I know how that feels. You'll be back to the workout beast that you are in no time. :)
I know how hard that is! Just trust the judgment of your doctor...you'll be able to workout soon and you'll be even more motivated! Just be cautious initially...and make sure you are eating healthy in the meantime...helps!

i can relate (I haven't been able to work out since sat cause I'm sick atm)
luckily its only for a few days
if you have a lot of free time and your goal is just fat loss
you can try working out in the morning (with jogging/cardio at the end)
then during the evening you can do low intensity workout like bike, elliptical, yoga, or walking
if your goal is to build mass
do compound exercises in the morning
then isolation exercises in the evening
