I think it shows how so many people can be bullied into weight loss rather than achieve it because of a genuine want to be and look healthier.
A great example was yesterday for me. I got my body fat percentage done. I know I need to get in better shape, but I'm not in bad shape and I am not unhealthy. I am at 28% body fat- in the healthy, but not in the fit range.
Years ago when my self esteem was wrapped up in what I thought I was SUPPOSED to be and what other people think about me, I would have been destroyed and would have thought I needed to starve myself.
However, I feel motivated. My goal is to drop body fat by 6%- it will take a few months but I am so determined and excited rather than feeling pressured.
I think so many people end up losing weight because they are pressured rather than being excited and motivated and it produces a vicious cycle where people binge and purge, or they lose massive amounts of weight and don't keep it off.
she looked good,even better than now,but it's good that she feels healthier now. I think that if people expressed concerns about an athlete being hefty in a nicer way-that would be fine,she's meant to be in good shape,even if she only LOOKS unhealthy,she needs to promote a certain image to get sponsors,supporters-an athlete should look athletic. but it's sad that she let herself feel bad cause of tabloid commenters-the type of people who make those comments have a very different idea of what looks good and most healthy athletes would look fat to them-if you're looking at thinspo all day long-you shouldn't comment on athletes-it's not the same version of perfection.
She looked sexy as hell with that 25lbs on her. But of course if you want to compete its best to go with the weight you are most quick and agile.
