Do you think wearing cologne with my new job would be a good idea?

I'm a salesman and I go into peoples homes to show them a product called cutco which is basically knives and other kitchen cutlery and a few outdoor items.

I wear a collared buttoned down shirt and either white or black slacks when I go, but I was wondering what if I wore cologne? Would that be good or too much?

I have 2 brands: Curve and davidoff coolwater. I usually do the latter mostly.

Some people dislike artificial smells. Especially strong ones. Remember that the smell may linger for some time after you leave the house. A very light smell may enhance your presence, though.

You may actually wear it one day and then not wear it the next. If you keep a record of each visit in your notebook of whether the sale was successful or not, you may analyze it later. This way you can figure it out just from experience. If you don't know how to analyze data, you may ask a knowledgeable friend.

I had friend who sold those knives, I have a couple they are sharp as hell, can you get them at a store or online?

nope. you can only get them through a representative like me or someone you know. if you had that friends number you could call him up he'd be happy to sell them to you. I know I would be haha

It should be find if you don't use a strong one or put on too much. I speak from experience when I say some smells make people physically sick. I start to feel very sick when I go into a section of a store that has a strong smell like the section with candles, potpourri, and stuff but I'm fine with like one candle burning.

Just don't bathe in it :p but typically smelling yummy is always welcomed!
