Trying to get healthy/lose weight, could use some encouragement!

So I've decided to get healthier and try to lose some weight. Due to health problems and medication, I've gained a lot of weight in the past few years. I stepped on the scale at the doctor and saw 240, which is not okay.

I carry my weight extremely well so I'm not looking to go insane with weight loss. When I was really thin in my teens at like a size 8 ish, I still weighed like 160, I'm just one of those people.

Right now, my goal is 180, so 60 pounds. I've tried before and lost a little bit but when I go off, I gained it back - plus some.

My biggest hurdle is I really love food. I cook all the time and have always enjoyed making meals for my boyfriend and for friends, it's just something I really like doing. Because of that it's kind of difficult for me because I don't want to give up something I really enjoy. I know that might sound silly but it's how I feel.

If anybody can give me some words of encouragement, that would be awesome. Or even recipe ideas for delicious stuff so that I don't have to feel like I'm sacrificing TOO much.

Thanks and please keep any nasty comments to yourself, I'm making the effort to better myself and take better care of my body so no matter what weight I'm at right now, I think that it's a step in the right direction.
