The truth is, that people need to eat a certain amount of calories just to maintain a certain body weight. Like, the Rock. If he only ate like, 2500, 3000 calories a day, like me, he'd rapidly lose mass, because he's a huge guy, with all that muscle, and a lot of food is needed to maintain it. Meanwhile, if I did crazy stuff like him, like eat 5lb's of codfish a day, just as a *part* of my meals, I'd blow up like a balloon, because I don't have all that muscle.
Same rule applies to fat. If you cut your intake of calories and maintain *some* physical exercise, you will lose weight much faster than someone who is in shape. Because, in truth, for someone your size to maintain that weight, you are eating a ton of calories every day.
Make sure to cut out soda, and other drinks with tons of calories. Drink water only, if you can! It will cut a ton of calories out of your diet.
BTW, I used to be portly, like 20 pounds overweight, it showed around my flabby belly. I found that protein bars were a huge help with dieting. They sell them at wal-mart, publix, etc. Get ones with high protein content, at least 10grams of protein, the more the better, and preferably about 200-230 calories a bar, not more. Then, when you feel like eating, eat a protein bar, with two tall glasses of water. Makes it so much easier to cut calories!

It's true. The more weight that you have, the easier and quicker it is to lose. I forget the general proportions; but, if you started exercising at the same time and did the same exercises that someone who is 60 pounds lighter than you, you would probably lose two or three pounds for ever one pound that she lost. As I said, I can't recall the proper proportions, so that may or may not true, but you get the general idea. So when you start working out, the weight will come off really fast at first, but, as you lose weight, it will slow and get harder to reach your goal. Good luck. It can be done.
Yes they can...but if you lose weight to fast your skin will get really loose, so its best to lose weight slower so your skin can shrink with you..here are a few tips I hope will help you...
1-eat five small meals per day starting with a healthy breakfast
2-drink at least 64 oz. of water per day
3-carb cycle..high carb one day-low carb the next
4-exercise..lift weights at least 3 times per day and cadio 2-3 times per week with one day off to rest.
5-have a cheat meal

You can lose weight faster initially. But after that first or second week its gonna even out like everyone else. Also you don't want to lose weigjt quickly other than that initial period that is really just water weight. Fast weight loss doesn't allow your skin to shrink with you. So fast weight loss just ends in flabby skin that has to be removed surgically. Slow and steady does not.

Anytime you start an exercise program, whether it be gaining or losing weight, there's typically a dramatic change when just starting out. Losing weight is done by a calorie deficit and exercising can help speed up your metabolism. Whenever anyone makes the excuse of having a slow metabolism, it's bullsh*t because cardio speeds up metabolism.
I recommend HIIT(High intensity interval training). It's excellent for speeding up your metabolism. Having a good metabolism is how your body will convert the food into energy. It all depends on your weight loss technique and strategy.
If all you do is cardio, then you'll have a short period of slow weight loss at the start as you build the momentum, but will lose a significant amount shortly after that. However, the down side is that you will eventually hit a glass ceiling where it gets increasingly difficult to lose more.
If you incorporate weights with the cardio, you'll have a slower rate of weight loss at the start as your body builds muscle from the weights training, but these new muscles also burn more energy every moment of the day, so your "fat loss" speeds up exponentially.
This is all assuming you control your diet as part of any exercise strategy, of course.Initially you will lose faster if you are significantly overweight.
Yes they can lose weight more quickly though I don't know the science behind it
Definitely. I lost like 10 pounds the first week of my diet, and 55 pounds in 4 months. Still have about 70 to go to reach my goal.
They also gain weight easily
