For me, having a day or two or even a week dedicated to just fun, and I mean fun involving friends or being outside the house. I've had so much go on lately, I just lost a friend in a motorcycle accident last week on top of it, and I just set aside some time alone and then forced myself to hang with close friends and be social. Ignore your weight during this time and don't think about food. Just think about having fun. After doing something like this, I don't have as much of an emotional need to eat and I feel that losing weight becomes a lot easier after something bad happens in your life. :)
It might take you longer but make sure to have at least 2 days of the week dedicated to having fun and being happy. You need that most after an abusive relationship.

This has never helped me, but just remember that you're beautiful. We are all beautiful in our own special ways and we need to embrace that as human beings. But what does that have to do with weight loss? Well, sometimes when our boyfriend breaks up with us, we feel ugly inside. That can lead to over-eating, lack of excercise, etc. Forget about him and move on, remember that you're a powerful woman and find something else to resort to. Maybe you have a favorite pastime, but nonetheless, get him off of your mind.
It's just something you're gonna have to make yourself start doing again. Make a workout part of your daily schedule, not something you do if you happen to have some extra time. Set a time for each day of the week where you can get some exercise. And follow it.
Same idea if you're dieting. Set a calorie limit per day and follow it.
Motivating yourself to do these things is difficult, and I'm afraid I don't have advice for getting started. You just have to decide that this is something you want to do, and then do it. Set your goal, and meet that goal. Even on those days you just don't feel like it, do it. Don't cheat yourself.
Lost 45 pounds by walking 6 days a week and sticking to 1500 calories a day consisting of fruits, veggies and lean protein. Later I learned that I could go over 1500 calories if I wanted extra servings of steamed veggies. Started walking a half mile a day and worked up to 4 miles a day within 6 weeks. Seemed to work well.

no-excuse-fitness.orgThere's nothing so motivating as pictures of yourself when you were at your bet weight. Get a number of those pics and post them around the house and especially, on and near the fridge, so every time you are about to yield to temptation, you see yourself at your peak..
Remember there are organizations that will organize and plan your diet for you, if you can't get it together yourself right now. Weight Watchers, for one.Well I have the encouragement from my boyfriend, friends and family. So that helped me stay on track. But what helped me actually stay on track is myself. I still have a long way to go form were I am and were I want to be. But as long as I have the desire and need to go I will keep pushing myself. I was tired of the way I looked and I wanted to do something about it. If you get comfortable then you end up giving up on your dreams for a better you so its nice to have a boyfriend who wants to improve himself too.
1.Breakfast: You should have a big breakfast, it gives you energy and metabolism.
2.Lunch: Small and healthy lunch with at the end chocolate square or just something you fancy you can not deprive yourself or you will binge eat.
3: Dinner: Very small dinner.
With the big breakfast you will feel more motivated and energized for the day, it works for me!i just learned to love myself again and not through food. realize your health is worth it to live a long healthy happy life. that's all the inspiration I need. being at my optimum health helps me take care of others that can't care for themselves
